Hey there, fellow adventurers! about the Bertha Trailhead Hiking Trail. It's a total gem! Here's the scoop - and believe me, you don't wanna miss out!

So, let's start with the hike itself. Now, I won't sugarcoat it. The upper falls section can be a bit of a thigh burner, especially those switchbacks. But hey, don't freak out when it gets tough! 'Cause guess what? The views at the top are jaw-droppingly amazing! Seriously, it's like nature's VIP lounge up there.

Now, here's the best part - there ain't nothin' blocking those stunning views the whole way up! Thanks to past forest fires, it's just you, the trail, and breathtaking panoramas that'll make your heart sing. I swear, it's like stepping into a postcard.

Oh, and here's where it gets even better. Dogs are more than welcome on this trail! I had my two four-legged buddies by my side, and they were in doggie heaven. Plenty of room for them and not to tough for them. Trust me, they'll have the time of their lives!

So there you have it, my fellow adventurers. Bertha Trailhead is where it's at. With epic views, dog-friendly trails, and a summit that'll make you feel on top of the world, this trail is a must-do. Lace up those hiking boots and get ready for an unforgettable experience!

Beautiful waterfall and pink flowers along the way. Quite steep for the 2.7km between the waterfall and Bertha Lake. Around 10km total. Spent around 5h on this hike including 30min at the top. Made pretty good time considering we had a dog and a 6 year old with us. Small parking lot but lots of street parking.

Refreshingly cold lake at the top. A few people were swimming in Bertha Lake.

The Bertha Trailhead provides a great starting point to Bertha Falls and Lake. Kind of busy, but a major hiking road and Crypt Lake was closed so more people were hiking. The weather was excellent. The hike was moderate with a steady incline after the falls. However people of all ages and sizes were hiking it, and dogs too. Gorgeous views at top. Took. 1.5 hours up, and 1 hour down.

Great hike. Car park has spaces for a few cars but is easily walkable from town area. Initial section is a gradual climb through wooded area to Bertha Point where there is a good view of the lake. Medium slope then up to the falls. On to the lake is a much steeper path. Is a popular hike but generally less people after the waterfall.

Breathtaking view on the hike up to the falls. I actually thought the views up and down were more rewarding than than the falls, although still worth the trip up. Even the wildlife was peaceful and I walked with deer most of the way.
    Still bring bear spray*
