Good trail that does not have steep vertical elevation. This is a suitable trail for a family hike. Lineham Falls is a good treat at the end.
An awesome hike. The trailhead has good number of parking spots on side of road. Most of path is good easy conditions with just a few places need to step over small streams and rocks. Is a gradual continuous slope up all the way to the base of the mountain side. Trail stops before base of waterfall, but falls is reachable if willing to scramble over scree and are not scared of heights (drops).
We arrived on Sunday (8/21/2022) at 8:30am and was surprised to find the parking lot only had less than five cars at the trailhead with parking for about 25 in total. Wonderful variety of views as the first third is under the sun through the burned trees, then through the old forest, and then the falls. Do continue past the “end of the trail” sign and you can get closer to the falls- the route is pretty easy to spot.
Trail was easy to follow until near the end, for us it was a little bit of bush whacking. The falls look decent. The start of the trail is up hill with not much shade until near the end. If I go back I would try another trail along this road. I would say the reward is medium.
Nice trail but we assumed by the road marker that it was the Lineham ridge trailhead. Unfortunately no trailhead markers have been added back since the fire a few years back.
