We ate here both nights on our stay. Initially was nervous about the dinner menu prices (40-60$)but the all day menu is fairly reasonable comparatively. ($15-30) We had the portobello mushroom burger, crispy chicken burger, beef dip, chicken pot pie respectively. And it was delicious!! Our friends had the ravioli, risotto, and lamb. And they were very satisfied. Service was friendly, prompt, and it was very easy to have it charged to the room. A nice stress free holiday. Our favorite part is how beautiful the place is. Overlooking the ski hill as it gets groomed, the place is decorated for the holidays. A great place for dinner.
You may have heard of hospitality staffing issues, food supply chain issues? These were not in evidence last nite as 20 in our ski group dined very well. Silvia from Bologna Italy speaking perfect English, went out of her way to serve us well. Chef and his team did well with the many tasty buffet appetizer options. Kudos to the team, good job!
Jess from South UK was wonderful and polite. The food was delicious. Portion size was acceptable. Drinks seemed surprisingly under priced. Gorgeous space since they renovated a few years ago. My favorite place to eat and relax at Sunshine.
Faith was one of the best severs we have ever had. She was so good we ate there a second night. The manager Stepanie also helped us out for lunch by getting a game on the big screen and opening that section for lunch. Nice views of the mountain. The sunshine salad was one of the best I've ever had. The charcuterie board wad also one of the best and a good deal. The duck wings were tasty but not filling. The pork ribs were tasty and filling. Good avocado spinach panini and great fries. Very good wine list, but very limited beer selection. A little pricey but you're at a ski resort. Management needs to do a better job staffing as employees were getting burned out and leaving.
The restaurant is in the second floor above the Starbucks connected to the hotel reception. The food is above averagefor a ski resort. The menu is small with multiple vegetarian options. I recommend the French Union soup and the Sunshine burger. The best part of this place is the atmosphere, it is cozy and a great break from the hectic ski hills. The only downside of this place is the cost, it's almost 1.5 times the cost of the cafeteria.
