This off-leash park is a beautiful open space along the river with a paved trail loop and a sizeable fenced training area easily accessible from the small parking lot.
At the far end of the paved loop there is a sloped section allowing access to the river for dogs that like to get wet, just keep a close eye on any small breeds as they can easily be picked up by the current if they wander out too far.
All in all an excellent place to take your pup for an adventure!
A really nice open space to bring your canines! The prairie-hill feel is like being in the mountains, yet not at the same time.
A nice park on the Northside of Lethbridge to walk your dogs off leash with little worry. The park has a couple types of paths, including gravel and "field plowed". You can choose to stay on the main gravel paths, or venture further out. The park also has a fenced enclosure that allows for meet and greets, owners who are apprehensive about letting their dogs roam free, etc
The Old Man river runs alongside the park - however it is slightly difficult to get to, as it's a rather steep drop to get down to the river. If you walk far enough, there is an area that allows most folks to get down to the river (healthy/fit dogs shouldn't have a problem getting to the river from anywhere!)
Way too close to the gun range. (Now they're adding disk golf?!) Also a lot of racing on the road that passes. If your dog is a runner or chaser don't off leash until far enough away or in the training gates lol
Otherwise love it. So does my dog and child!
I like the small fenced in dog park. The City provides free poop bags. Which is nice., wish there were a few more trash bins. Nice trail along the river. Nice that all the trails loop back to the parking lot.
