When you live in Victoria, it's pretty difficult to find a place to hike that is decently wild, quiet, within a 30 minute drive and not overun with dogs. I would give this one six stars if I could. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leash at all times.
Excellent hiking trails. Challenging.
Beautiful hike. Not too difficult. Nice escape from the grim realities of downtown Victoria.
Spectacular views at Elbow Point. Well worth the climb.
One of our favourite hikes to do if you want a shorten version to get to the top of Jocelyn Hill. Awesome views of the entire South Vancouver Island region. Expect to bank about 90 minutes round trip. Should have proper foot wear and expect some steep sections. Wet weather can make some areas slippery.
