Gowlland Tod Provincial Park

Address: Ross Durrance Rd, Highlands, BC V9E 2A3, Canada

Park

“A great hike with different levels of difficulty depending on the trail you take. Trails are easy to follow however I recommend taking a trail map or GPS if it's your first few times. Here you can enjoy the views with long walks or take the trail down past the waterfall to the ocean. There are some steep sections around the waterfall or on trails that take you deeper into the park.”

Jocelyn Hill Trailhead

Address: 700 Emma Dixon Rd, Victoria, BC V9B 6J3, Canada

Park

“When you live in Victoria, it's pretty difficult to find a place to hike that is decently wild, quiet, within a 30 minute drive and not overun with dogs. I would give this one six stars if I could. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leash at all times.”

Mckenzie Bight

Address: Highlands, BC, Canada

Park

“In the winter there is a great waterfall. Steep return from the water gives a good workout. Fairly popular, so parking can be scarce on a sunny weekend day.”

Cascade Falls

“This park is absolutely stunning. We went in the dryer season so no actual waterfalls but the hike was well worth going. We will go back in the spring to see the falls.”

Mount Work Regional Park

Address: Highlands, BC V9E 1G8, Canada

Park

“It was a pretty walk loots of interesting mushrooms to look at and some pretty Moss and views. The trails are pretty well marked and aren't hard at all. Tho if you have knee problems I would not recommend it. The hike to the summit only took 1 hour for me stopping every few minutes to take pictures of mushrooms. There are numerous CE views of pease lake from the summit. There are also love ts of mountainous plants such as Harry mans Anita. Would definitely recommend for a family with semi active or active kids who like nature.”
