“From the moment my husband and I arrived we were in awww. Bright, beautiful, exceptionally clean. Every detail from fresh flowers in the bedroom and seating area with a panoramic view of the ocean, knitted slipper socks, high quality robes, a welcome letter with both of our names, so many meaningful details The bedroom had a bed fit for a princess, white sheets, white duvet, both smelled like they had been out in the fresh ocean air drying on the close line. The smell getting into bed was amazing. We were provided with a fresh local tray of beautiful food to make our breakfast. Farm fresh eggs, gorgeous bread, granola made here in sooke, preserves and more. The sound of silence, gentle ocean air, and warmth from the fire, provided us with space that left us in each other’s arms with out a care in the world. This experience was beyond needed in our crazy lives. I will be booking several times a year taking the time to slow down and be in the moment! Sweet Serenity is a hidden gem on the west coast :)”

“Just stayed 2 nights in the Tugwell room! The property has a wonderful view of the ocean and sunsets. Diane and Mike were great hosts and made everything easy and welcoming! The breakfasts in the morning were delicious and huge. Really enjoyed watching the goats and chickens, too! The property is in a good location for exploring the west coast and accessing lots of wonder beaches and hikes????”

“This was one of the most amazing places I have ever had the pleasure of staying at! Wow! The two Beachhouse guest suites are both incredible with everything you could possibly need. I stayed in the Snug suite with my dog and it’s the most beautiful suite. You have your own decks as well as a south facing private bay and beach on the ocean (unbelievable!) - sunrises and sunsets, we even saw 5 orcas playing in front of us on our last night! Kim and Mike are incredible hosts, so friendly and helpful. They have literally thought of every single thing that you could possibly need in the suites, including food staples in the cupboards and breakfast groceries in the fridge. I’m typing this on the ferry on my way home reflecting what an amazing time we had in Sooke and how fortunate we were to have found this piece of paradise. We will be back soon! Thank you so much. We loved every minute of our time there! ❤️”

“We so enjoyed our relaxing stay at ‘Anne’s Cottage’! The inside was super clean & the bed was comfortable & there were lots of windows to enjoy the view. Humming birds were coming to a feeder right on the deck. The location is beautiful with it’s private setting, grassy yard & your own stairs to a pebble beach. Cheryl, who lives right next door, was personable, knowledgeable about the area & respectful of our privacy. She gave us a great stay with a special ‘welcome’ touch waiting on the table. Thank you Cheryl. We’re already planning how we can come back!”

“We loved the campground. We slept great because people go to bed on time at the park. The gate is shut at 9 pm so visitors have to leave by then which also helps the noise. Great views right on the river.”

“This house is gorgeous. From a hot tub overlooking Sooke basin to the extremely well appointed kitchen. We were a group of 6. Each couple had their own space it was wonderful. The views from the wraparound decks is stunning we saw otters swimming in Sooke basin and Eagles sitting in the trees the place feels very private as well as quiet. Just 2 kilometers up the road East Sooke Park a mini West Coast Trail. Our dinner at Sooke Harbour House was fantastic their wine selection with bar none the biggest I've ever seen. Would highly recommend Madrona cove house to families or couples. Jeff and Trinita were extremely helpful in helping us find things to do.”

“Dear Heather and Bill, We stayed the night at your lovely cottage by the lake and were endlessly mystified by the beauty, warmth, hospitality and care in every lovely corner of your beautiful retreat. We really were amazed by the large trout in the lake that came to welcome us and even followed us on the lakeshore. We only stayed one night and it felt so much like home it was very hard to leave! Everything we needed was there for us to enjoy. The hot tub was so nice to relax in and we stayed until the moon was up! Of course the occasional dip in the lake made our tubing much more fun! Our overnight was in December with a little rain encouraging us to have a fire. What a romantic touch! we will definitely recommend the retreat to anyone that will listen and hope to stay again in the summer! Thank you again for a wonderful and relaxing stay at Mountain Springs.
