Sooke Potholes Campground

Address: Sooke River Road, Sooke, BC V9A 3N6, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“We loved the campground. We slept great because people go to bed on time at the park. The gate is shut at 9 pm so visitors have to leave by then which also helps the noise. Great views right on the river.”

Copper Mine Park

Address: Copper Mine Rd, Sooke, BC V9Z 1B2, Canada

Park

“Good park that is well maintained but definitely needs a trash can and some dog poop bags as it is full of dog excrement on the field! Also some garbage but noticed there is no garbage can!”

Sooke Flow Pipe Trail

Address: Sooke River Rd, Sooke, BC V9C 4C1, Canada

Park

“This is a great hike. Would not recommend bringing pets or children as the pipe can be slippery and easily can be fallen off. If you are afraid of heights, or have poor balance, DO NOT go on this hike. Easy access from the Sooke Potholes Parking lot #2. The trail starts right behind the red hut, I added a photo of trail entrance. For the hike itself, I would recommend long pants and long sleeve shirts as there are plenty of branches you could scratch yourself off. The hike up to the flowline is about 10mins. Walking right along the line, about 7 minutes and you get to a very impressive trestle that has the flowline on top of it. Turning left, you can hike along for a while. You can stop at the pot holes on top of the flowline and jump into it. Hear the echos as well. We hiked about 2 hours this way and there was still plenty of trail to go.”

East Sooke Regional Park

Address: East Sooke Road, Sooke, BC, Canada

Park

“One of my favourite places to go as a child. The hiking can be as easy or as challenging as you choose. Whale watching in the summer here was one of my favourite activities. Bring something to make noise as bears and other predators were also common.”
