“From the moment my husband and I arrived we were in awww. Bright, beautiful, exceptionally clean. Every detail from fresh flowers in the bedroom and seating area with a panoramic view of the ocean, knitted slipper socks, high quality robes, a welcome letter with both of our names, so many meaningful details The bedroom had a bed fit for a princess, white sheets, white duvet, both smelled like they had been out in the fresh ocean air drying on the close line. The smell getting into bed was amazing. We were provided with a fresh local tray of beautiful food to make our breakfast. Farm fresh eggs, gorgeous bread, granola made here in sooke, preserves and more. The sound of silence, gentle ocean air, and warmth from the fire, provided us with space that left us in each other’s arms with out a care in the world. This experience was beyond needed in our crazy lives. I will be booking several times a year taking the time to slow down and be in the moment! Sweet Serenity is a hidden gem on the west coast :)”

We went to Sombrio beach for our daily adventure and enjoyed the campfire after.Can't wait to go back next year!”

“This was our first camping experience in Victoria! Stunning place with China beach just 1.5km away. We took a nice and easy hike there with our parents as well as our children, the youngest who was just 2. The camp itself is very clean with cold water taps, and basic ‘gravity assisted’ toilet facilities. The camp manager Peter, was an absolute star! Very helpful when we needed some tools to fix some loose ends on our RV. Some of the sites are booked online but if you are dropping in cold, there are some ‘first come first serve’ sites available as well. Come in around 10:30am as that’s when people who are done with their camping start checking out. Lovely tall cedar trees, and reasonably quiet campers mostly.”

“Absolutely stunning! We recently had the privilege of celebrating a milestone birthday and upcoming baby at the Mystic Beach Vacation home. Our experience was pure magic through and through - this home is a little piece of west coast heaven! We so enjoyed the breathtaking ocean view - from sunrise on the wrap around balcony, to sunset in the large delux hot tub. The open concept floor plan with massive windows made us feel so connected to nature, the timber frame construction is so unique and cozy, and the space is so thoughtfully decorated - not to mention spotless! We were also super impressed by the fully stocked kitchen which is loaded with anything you could need to feel right at home. The owners took hospitality to the next level - they were so welcoming, informative and prompt in communication. During our stay we explored the beautiful Jordan River area - there are so many amazing spots to hike, surf, and discover just steps from the home. We also enjoyed an amazing dinner at a local fine dining restaurant which is just a quick ten minute drive away. We can’t say enough about our time at this home and we will most definitely be back again and again as our little family grows. If you are looking for the perfect place to disconnect, relax, re-energize and reconnect with nature, your family, your spouse or even yourself, you need to book your stay at Mystic Beach Vacation home! “HOLY COW!! This was a hidden gem on our vacation! I see by the title that this is a BnB, but we did not spend our night here. We did visit the forge and it was a magical experience. My youngest just loves the show "Forged in Fire", and so we have all seen it too. This experience brought the show to life. Feel the heat of the coal forge, feel the ground shake as "smackie" and "thumper" pound metal into shape. These guys are very talented and seem to love what they do. One of the guys and my oldest boy talked about crafting Master Swords! Do stop, it is very worth your time.”

“Incredible experience. Stumbled across this wonderful establishment on my way up Island. After being invited down to the amazing property and shown around by Richard we just had to stay. The views are incredible, amazing beach access, spent the evening relaxing in the wood stove sauna. The whole place was immaculately clean and Richard took care of our every need.
