“We're surprised by poor reviews. Our experience has been exceptional, both last year when we needed to cancel and this year when our minor concerns were promptly and professionally rectified. We very much appreciate Elite's helpfulness and flexibility. Heavenly Hideaway provided us a great place to get away from it all, enjoy the views across the Strait and of Mount Baker and Cascade Mountains on a clear day, while giving us easy access to central Victoria and beyond. The house is unique and the bathrooms just adequate yet we were able to comfortably accommodate guests.”

“Staff was very friendly, and shower pressure and showerhead were amazing. Aside from that it was pretty generic. Facilities were closed (understandably) so I can't judge those. Biggest peeve was the rowdy party and music happening in the parking lot at 10pm. Also, even the discounted price seemed poor value for the location, room, and lack of amenities open. Wouldn't be our first choice if looking again.”

“My husband and I had a bizarre circumstance where we ended up requiring a room last minute on a Saturday night, specifically on Bear Mountain. As far as we knew, it was only the Westin up there. When we tried calling the Westin, they were booked (and even if they weren't booked, yeesh their prices were outrageous, we're talking $300-400 plus a resort fee!!). Beyond stressed, I was frantically trying to find something located around the bottom of the mountain (not ideal but we could make it work), when this little gem popped up! Turns out it was previously part of the Westin but has now separated and is under new ownership. Fairways had only just opened up for business the weekend we were there. I'd say it was a soft launch as it didn't appear to show up on Google Hotels yet, the underground parking was quite empty (Yup! Underground parking unlike the Westin) and when you entered the building, the concierge desk was definitely a temporary fix, but you can tell they'll get there quickly. Their prices are so much better than the Westin (and it wasn't just an intro fee, the prices appear to be holding at that price for a few months and even when they increase, they don't go that high) and the service we received was incredible. Since we weren't expecting to be staying overnight on the mountain, I had no phone charger and when I asked them if they had one, they said no, but shortly after called up to the room to let me know they had found one that I could borrow! Also, they could have thrown us in any old room, but they gave us top floor, corner unit with a view of the golf course. The room was quite large for the price and very clean. Sure, there might be just a couple of small details that could use updating, but nothing major by any means. We will definitely stay here again - especially since it's in such close proximity to Jack's Place which is a great place to hang out (the pizzas ?)”

“This place is massive! The kitchen, living room (including tv) and bathroom are shared with other guests. We visited as the only bookings that night so we had the place to ourselves. It has everything you could dream of using in the kitchen, a kettle, microwave, oven and stovetop, large fridge. In the fridge we found condiments and creamer. It's also beautifully decorated, it feels like a home. They have a telescope to try out as well as some books lying around. The owners are lovely and accommodating. As other visitors have mentioned, it hasn't been sound proofed at all. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs as you can hear every step made by the owners upstairs. The owners aren't noisy by any means but they do wake up before 7am, so late risers also beware. Overall an amazing experience. The first thing I thought when we walked in was, we could bake a pie here! :) hope this review comes in handy for someone.”

“Older, but clean and well maintained park next to Western Speedway. Also go carts, motorcross trails. Four years in a row we have parked here when we are racing. Showers are CLEAN!!!!!!!! Manager Susan is terrific.”
