The Groove. Island Kitchen

Near or far, wherever you are - you MUST stop by The Groove and experience for yourself what actually might be the best burger in the world! The atmosphere is almost as pleasant as the staff and owners, but nothing compares to the "Classic Burger" (in all fairness, I've heard the Fig and Brie is even better, but I'm not adventurous enough to try it). Everything is made in house, locally grown and picked by hand to provide you with the ultimate experience. The level of care and knowledge put into every meal gleams over the entire venue and will hit you like a wave rolling off the ocean... which is only a 5 minute walk, after you've stuffed yourself with the Classic Burger. It's not reasonably priced, the portions are ample and you will want to go back... over and over again (and we highly recommend you do)!

By far, THE go-to place on Maybe Island. Andrew and Sherry are fabulous company and should just visit the business to meet them.

The place has a cool vibe and the food is excellent. The Super Mondo Salad is a generous portion and packed with micronutrients! Nice blend between vegetables and dressing. (We were hungry I didn't get a good photo of it)

This place was known for their pizza and they represented. It is not your thick-Domino's style, so drop that expectation right away. Yummy flavors and crispy yet moist crust.

Our favorite item was their in-house ginger beer. BEST by far. Their home recipe has kept the heat without having the excess sugar and that is extremely difficult to find! MUST. MUST. TRY.

Off season hours are Thursday-Sunday evenings only. In the summer, they open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We've been many times. 1) The food is finely crafted and worth going in and of itself. 2) The staff and owners are bouyant folks who care deeply about what they're offering. 3) You'll be truly lucky if they're hosting some live music. The folks that come play here are well worth the visit.

Thing is, the combination of all of 1), 2) and 3) in one place is a combination that no one else does better.

So good!! I love the creativity and flavours on the menu. And the choices for craft beer are awesome. I had a great night with my family. Pizza and the salads and the lamb dishes are my favourites. If you get a chance, come for a concert as the host chooses great bands and sets it up to sound really great while you enjoy the food and casual atmosphere on a deck.

Great little place to grab a bite to eat and a drink! The pizzas were delicious and they have an awesome house made sauce that’s great! Just a short walk up from the public dock and it’s also open everyday when other places close down early. They also have a great outdoor deck with seating and often have live music. Great hidden gem on Mayne Island!
