The Springwater

Always a great stop for us when we're on the boat. We've been coming here for years and we're very happy to see it reopen after the reno's! The calamari, fish n chips, and the burgers are AMAZING. The patties on the burgers are huge and you can tell they're hand made. If you like a nice muddy ceasar, this is also the place. Make sure to take a picture with the beautiful orca right off the deck!

Wow, what can we say, the staff are extremely friendly here. All the food we had was excellent. The fish and chips was the best we have had in BC since moving here 2 years ago. It was also very fast as we were in a bit of a rush to make sure we made the ferry and they were extremely accommodating. Not to mention it has a nice view of active pass and you get to watch all the action of ferries and other wildlife flying around the bay. Great spot and great food we will be going back for sure.

Nice little pub .. great view close to the mayne ferry . Watch the boats and wildlife from the deck .. good food. Good service.

A very casual pub on the water. The building looked a bit run down however it is an old place. A lot history.

Pub food menu. The burger was tasty. The cod was small (about the size of my palm) but delicious. Not oily. I read that there were large portions from previous reviewers but I did not experience that.

We had a wonderful stay at one of the Springwater cottages. These cabins have clearly been updated recently (which was lovely), though with that view I wouldn't be complaining either way! There's a beach access right in front of the cabins, and they are right in the center of the "downtown" area on the island (close walking distance to grocery stores, bakery, etc.) if you want to make use of their adorable little kitchenette. Overall, fantastic location, stunning view, and cozy quarters - absolutely recommend!
