Truly Love this adorable and fresh new restaurant on Mayne Island! Jan Formerly from Vancouver's- Farmers Apprentice)and Randi (formerly from Vancouver's- The Acorn) are a great team serving up inventive farm to table dishes in a comfort food yet tapas style. Find ingredients grown right on Mayne by our passionate local farmers in every dish!

Everything about Das Nest is on point. The ambiance, food and service were all fantastic! This restaurant brings CLASS to Mayne Island, and the owners are clearly very talented and passionate.

We shared a perfectly seared, skin on cod dish in a roasted pepper sauce, a sous vide chicken dish with an amazing chimichurri, and a nettle pesto, hazelnut gnocchi, all plated beautifully and with perfect portioning. Impossible to choose a favorite! We ordered a round of the chef's sourdough bread to mop up the heavenly sauces while we finished our bottle of Clarinet, a local and superb red blend.

We cannot wait to go back and try what local and organic fare Jan and Randi will serve up next. and we're feeling incredibly lucky to have a dining option of this caliber on Mayne Island.
