Fernie Cattle Company

This is our 2nd time visiting Fernie Cattle Company and it definitely will not be our last. The steaks are cooked to absolute perfection. They leave your mouth watering for more once your finished! I had the ribs as well this time and that homemade blueberry bbq sauce is divine. Like next level sauce. Each dish is served separately on top of the steak or meat of choosing. We got the brie, crab mushrooms, Brussel sprouts and baked potato. ALL of them were delicious.

To us, this is the only steakhouse we will ever go to when visiting this area and we will continue to recommend it to everyone.

The owners and the staff are accommodating and professional.

Server was very accommodating, even moving us to a different table when we were requiring it.
And the food.........wow.......the most amazing Beef Ribs I have ever had. Check that, the most amazing beef I've ever had, period, including steak. The Beef Rib was enormous, beautifully smoked and soft as butter. I can't stress enough just how good the meat was hahaha.

We dined here once during the week of March 13-17, 2023.
There were 5 in our party and we all had a delicious meal. Every steak was cooked perfectly and was as good as any of the best steaks we’ve ever had. Sides were simple, fresh, and well cooked.
Drinks were average. We didn’t have room for dessert so no comments there. ;)
Service was very prompt through the evening (we booked ahead), and we got everything we needed.
I didn’t give 5 stars overall because of the drinks and the decor/ambiance. While the meals were as good as any great steakhouse, the restaurant itself is dated and feels more like an older family restaurant. The quality of the surroundings just didn’t match the quality of the food. I understand it’s a tough gig running a restaurant in Fernie though, and renovations aren’t always an option for small businesses.
If you’re looking for an excellent steak meal at the end of a long ski or trail day, this place will leave you with a happy belly!
