“Nice little cafe/restaurant nearly on the top of the mountain next to the Siberia bowl and ski slopes. Friendly and quick service. Tasty soups, panini and coffee. Great stop to make a pause or do lunch when you're up the mountain. We loved the laid back atmosphere and no-fuss attitude. Toilets are communal and outside - opposite of the building. Prices are fair and reflect the location. Loved it.”

“Authentic Indian food!!! Really enjoyed the food here as we were traveling and just wanted something other than the typical burgers and hot dogs you'd have while camping. Stopped in and ordered a bunch of food and brought back to the camp site to eat. Food was good and full of flavour; only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was because every chicken dish we ordered, the chicken was extremely dry and perhaps overcooked. I understand breast is traditionally more dry compared to dark meat, however, I'd expect a restaurant to be able to cook a tender chicken breast. Other than that, everything was good. Service was excellent and very accommodating. I was extremely happy that they actually did take away vs many of the other restaurants in the area who advertised they do, however, in fact do not offer take away service.”

“I recently dined at an old Chinese restaurant in Fernie, British Columbia, and it left quite an impression. This establishment has a rich historical charm that takes you back in time. The interior is well-maintained and remarkably clean, preserving its authentic ambiance. The highlight, of course, is the food. The flavors were a delightful journey through traditional Chinese cuisine, and the dishes were prepared with care and expertise. It's evident that the chefs take pride in their culinary skills. However, it's worth noting that this historical gem comes with a price tag. The dining experience here is on the pricier side, which might not be suitable for every budget. But if you're willing to splurge a bit, it's an excellent place to savor both Chinese cuisine and local history.”

“While the restaurant was quite busy, we did not have to wait long for a table. With it being one of the few places to get food on the hill, it was quite pricey for what you recieve. We got the veggie burger ans the Buffalo chicken burger, which were both very good. Although the restaurant was packed, service was fairly quick concidering, and the staff was always busy. One unfortunate downside of the seating was that with everyone coming in geared up, there was little available storage/hangers for you to hang your jackets/helmets/bags, which clutered the already small seating areas. Some of the seating had small shelves under the chair for gloves and such, which was nice.”

“Great place for breakfast. On the pricier side but the quality of food is worth it. Really good eggs Bennett and hash browns. The croissant sandwich was also good but the cheese was very rich. If you are super hungry or are feeling like something rich the croissant is they way to go. French toast was excellent too.”

“Had a pleasant dining experience here solo. Since I was alone I sat at the bar. I ordered the Fettuccine Bolognese. Pasta was maybe a touch under cooked, a bit more al dente then I prefer. But overall quote tasty. The bread was delicious. I could order this item again.”

“This is our 2nd time visiting Fernie Cattle Company and it definitely will not be our last. The steaks are cooked to absolute perfection. They leave your mouth watering for more once your finished! I had the ribs as well this time and that homemade blueberry bbq sauce is divine. Like next level sauce. Each dish is served separately on top of the steak or meat of choosing. We got the brie, crab mushrooms, Brussel sprouts and baked potato. ALL of them were delicious. To us, this is the only steakhouse we will ever go to when visiting this area and we will continue to recommend it to everyone. The owners and the staff are accommodating and professional. Ignore the 1 star ratings from the obviously entitled on here. This place is a gem!”

“We shared the elk/wild boar burger and the steak burger. Both were AMAZING!!!! Very juicy and flavorful steak burger and the lean game burger was paired exceptionally well with the blueberry mayo. Both the garden and Caesar salads were also very very good!! I’ll definitely be craving the burgers and will 100% come back on our next trip here!!”

“What a great place to stop in for lunch! You can't miss the bright green truck and the lovely treed courtyard is quiet and shady and has lots of comfortable places to sit. The food is delicious and we were back on the road satisfied and ready for our next adventure. Try the Bao buns and the cherry Cola, the prawn salad rolls were also yummy.”

“When everything was closed and we thought our dinner options were limited to the stale ramen in the cupboard, we were elated to see the Dairy Queen open sign flashing in the distance. To our delight, there were 8 minutes left before their closing time of 11:00 pm. The staff were friendly and chipper, despite our last minute arrival. Not only that, but biting into the double cheese burger was surprisingly so good we decided to leave a review. Somehow this Dairy Queen’s burger tasted particularly good. Highly recommend.”

“The food was delicious and service was good. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, caramelized onion and bacon flatbread and weekly farmers market pasta feature. They offer a full selection of Fernie Brewing Co beers as well as some unique lavender and mint raspberry cocktails. The patio has a spectacular view so if you’re able to sit outside, I highly recommend it. It’s well worth driving up to this beautiful spot. Perfect day trip if you go for a small hike around Island Lake, then finish off the day with some drinks and food.”
