“Great apres spot for good food and drink! Our server was extremely nice and attentive to our table. Music and atmosphere was on point. The pirogies were delicious. We’ll definitely make this our go to post skiing spot!”

“Don't go anywhere else for your wine! Bob & Peggy make you feel right at home and are so helpful in picking out the perfect wines! Can't go wrong with the price and it truly is delicious wine! Our favourites are the sangiovese and amarone. Highly recommend checking them out!!”

“Stopped in for lunch to take in the view of the lake. It was my first time here. Good menu choices. Service was good. Had the BLT on sourdough with fries and it was pretty good. My daughter had the chicken wrap with fries. Their infused tea’s (contains alcohol) are quite delicious.”

“I am in love! Seen a spokesperson at my local liquor store in which she invited me to try a couple shots and got me buying a couple bottles, thus creating such beauty! I absolutely love this natural product, trying to get rid of sugars but still have a tasty drink has been challenging! Not now. Very impressed. Thanks Taynton Bay Spirits!”

“We look forward to coming here every year! We’ve been coming for the past 17 years and always have a great time! The service is always very good, and they are accommodating since there are usually a few of us that don’t ski, but we will hold a table for the rest that do. Joanna has been our server for the past 15 years, and you’ll never get anyone more attentive and fun! She’s great, we always try to sit in her section when we can! We did another shot ski this year!”

“We had the 1/2 and 1/2 meal for two, it was a good sized portion for two ribs and chicken with fries and gravy, but what really made our meal was that they took the care to ask us how we wants our pup’s steak cooked and the steak they gave us was a decent size we ordered the steak kids meal and our boy was pretty happy”

“If you go during the day, Tuesday through Friday you will get Angela working the bar. She is top shelf. Not that others there aren't. It's just that she's top shelf. Menu changed a bit. Still really good. I was just used to what it was. As far as neighborhood pubs go you're nit going to go wrong heading to the Sully. Awesome place.”

“Great place to eat! The place was nearly full when we arrived, and it looked like the bartender came out from behind the bar to help the server get caught up because she was taking care of nearly the entire dining room. Despite this, she took care of us in a timely fashion, and provided us with excellent customer service. I had a cheeseburger and fries, and my wife had the chicken strips and fries. The fries were very, very tasty, and that burger was spot on! The chicken strips tasted like they came out of the freezer, but I liked them so I finished them. All in all, great meal, and I recommend!”

“This was our second year in a row visiting Rustica for our anniversary dinner. Last year we had a phenomenal night, this year, however, was a different story. In 2022, every staff member went above and beyond by wishing us a happy anniversary (there is an option through online booking to select an anniversary as the occasion), providing a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, our server when quizzed was very knowledgeable about the different types of steak and the food was fantastic. Sitting outside was a beautiful experience with the amazing view over the valley. Overall we were made to feel very special and all involved went above and beyond. Given this experience, we decided to come back this year to celebrate our special day once again. In 2023, the menu was smaller, not one staff member wished us a happy anniversary (despite booking the same way as last year), and our server stood behind us instead of in front of us which made it awkward to communicate. On top of this, we each ordered a $60 steak and although the flavor was good, the steak came out lukewarm (not cool enough to send back, but not great either). We decided to sit inside this year due to it being a little chilly, and although we had about the best view possible from inside the restaurant, there were a few details that could easily be taken care of. The table cloth had a hole in it, the chairs are outdated, there were several dead flies around, the windows are noticeably dirty. Overall, the experience in 2023 was not what we had come to expect from 2022. With a few alterations, we feel this could be back to what it was.”

“The food is amazing. We had the 14" carnivore pizza and it was full of toppings (unlike the pizzeria in the middle of Kimberly). We also shared the nachos and it was filled with cheese and toppings. Tiffany, our server, was friendly and efficient. She also kept all the tables clean despite working the pub alone. I highly recommend this pub. You won't go home hungry.”

“Meh… friendly server but as far as the food goes …. zero effort for presentation and overall taste. Soup was nuked I’m sure, not the DC of the past. Probably not a repeat.”

“Stopped by here while exploring the town of Fernie. Ordered a pizza from The Funky Goat and very quickly learned they were delivery only. They recommended I go to The Legion and have my pizza delivered there. The folks at The Legion said that was fine, and people get their pizzas delivered all the time. The only requirement was I buy their beer and sign their guestbook, which I did so cheerfully. Very friendly place with an old-school pub feel. Made for a pleasant evening in town.”

“What an excellent place this is. We were given some special access to purchase some FD swag and a couple of bottles to take home and can't wait to come back and enjoy some cocktails. Super location, super friendly owners. Delicious beverages and a very cool setting.”

“Had a blast here several days on my Fernie trip. The sign says it was voted best Apres bar in Canada, and I believe it. Waitresses working at the bar were always cheerful. Local beers and snacks were perfect for recharging after a day on Fernie's challenging slopes and chutes.”

“Great place for breakfast. On the pricier side but the quality of food is worth it. Really good eggs Bennett and hash browns. The croissant sandwich was also good but the cheese was very rich. If you are super hungry or are feeling like something rich the croissant is they way to go. French toast was excellent too.”

“Stopped by for a quick lunch while driving through Fernie. Lots of local beers on tap. I had the Burger with fries. Tasty and serviceable. The fish and chips were crispy and hot. Make sure you ask for tartar sauce. Lots of seating available inside and out. Service was nice.”

“The food was solid to very good. The staff was very nice and were trying to be helpful when prompted which is the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 for service. We ordered 2 burgers, a wrap, and a salad and waited for over 40 minutes without getting any food or any update. When my dad finally checked with the server, she brought each dish out individually, hot when appropriate, from the back a few minutes apart; I would guess our order was just forgotten/lost entirely and was made once we asked. The place was a typical casual cafe style, nothing really fancy.”

“Initially the new owners were not ready and the menu and food quality suffered. However, we have recently been twice for dinner and both the menu and quality were much improved. According to my grandchildren, the Pasta Alfredo and Onion Rings are better than before. Keep on improving and you will win back your customers.”

“4 stars for atmosphere and an amazing server/bartender/cook. The bar is a cool little place with taxidermy everywhere (look for the jackolope). Right next to the Bull River (there is a fishing spot between the highway bridge and the rail bridge) and the trout hatchery it's a great place to stop after an outing. Our server was on the ball despite being, for all appearances, the only person there. She was very friendly and personable. There are tables outside under a huge weeping willow. The food was OK. I'm affraid I can't say much more than that. The onion rings and fried pickles (it's that kind of menu) were pretty good but the burgers had a definite frozen from a box quality to them and the kiaser rolls were toasted to a crispiness that shredded the tops of our mouths while allowing the fillings to slide off the burger. If you are in the area give it a shot.”

“At times waitresses are understaffed but that is not their fault. The food is consistently good. Homemade soup, meatloaf is delicious and I really wish you would put the curried chicken penne back on the menu. Please 🙏”
