“This turned out to be a nice surprise. After a confusing arrival. Looking back on previous reviews this location look like it had a patio overlooking the ocean it does not. It is located in a small shopping centre with a patio out front in the parking lot. At first glance, we were disappointed but the interior of the restaurant is very funky, I did not have a chance to take any interior pictures. The staff is super helpful and friendly, then to top it off, the food is excellent! high-quality, very tasty and huge portions. We ordered three pizzas and they were excellent! The pickle pizza was weirdly great. I also ordered the beef dip and Greek salad, it was huge and delicious. Another review showed hamburgers, and they do not have hamburgers. The wine and beer list is great. Highly recommend stopping in or doing a pick up order. It’s definitely worth it.”

“Great apres spot for good food and drink! Our server was extremely nice and attentive to our table. Music and atmosphere was on point. The pirogies were delicious. We’ll definitely make this our go to post skiing spot!”

“Lovely small cidery with tons of options to explore. We had a tasting flight and had an opportunity to wander around the grounds, which made the whole experience even more memorable. The staff was accommodating, answered any and all our questions, and clearly are passionate about what they do. And of course we loved the cider.”

“Small town feels with big town food.. I was surprised by some of the trendy items on the menu, I had the rare tuna and it was very good. Happen to be there for swing dancing night! So the entertainment was excellent:)”

“My wife and I had dinner here for our first wedding anniversary last night, and we couldn't of picked a better place. We both did the "Chefs Tasting" along with a wine pairing, and not only was everything exceptional, but the service was amazing, and very personable. I would highly recommend coming here to anyone!”

“If you like airplanes, and you like beer, this is the holy grail. Ace Brewing is a vibrant way to spend an afternoon / evening with friends and family. It's a really home-y feeling in the bar, as you walk up yourself to order a wide array of aviation inspired beers (my favourite part). The flights are served in classy propeller shaped tray, and the ones I tasted were very tasty (Kitty Hawk was my favourite). We also ordered the Nachos.... and you should too. Picked Veggies, pulled pork, and wicked steak sauce. Perfect comfort food for great beer. Thanks for having us! For more beer recommendations, check out @beerventureexplorers on instagram!”

“My husband and I love the food, although they are beginning to cut costs with cheaper versions of some of their original, homemade foods (i.e.: pre-packaged and processed foods rather than the real thing). The servers are pretty good unless it's really busy, then sometimes you can be missed/forgotten for a little longer than usual. The atmosphere is typical of an older bar/pub. I'm hoping that things will go back to being top-notch once their new building is done.”

“Don't go anywhere else for your wine! Bob & Peggy make you feel right at home and are so helpful in picking out the perfect wines! Can't go wrong with the price and it truly is delicious wine! Our favourites are the sangiovese and amarone. Highly recommend checking them out!!”

“Went here for a family Christmas Eve, Eve Dinner. Everyone had only been one other time for lunch, so it was nice to experience dinner. Average prices, good food. Will go back.”

“The food was excellent and the wine menu was top notch, with more French wines than the average restaurant, which I appreciated. The service was good but a tad slow as they seemed a bit understaffed though I’m sure that was likely a specific issue the night we were there. We showed up without a reservation and they accommodated us. The clientele was on the older side so it might be easier to get a table a bit later ;)”

“Stopped in for lunch to take in the view of the lake. It was my first time here. Good menu choices. Service was good. Had the BLT on sourdough with fries and it was pretty good. My daughter had the chicken wrap with fries. Their infused tea’s (contains alcohol) are quite delicious.”

“I am in love! Seen a spokesperson at my local liquor store in which she invited me to try a couple shots and got me buying a couple bottles, thus creating such beauty! I absolutely love this natural product, trying to get rid of sugars but still have a tasty drink has been challenging! Not now. Very impressed. Thanks Taynton Bay Spirits!”

“6/20/23- pros and cons Warning: DO NOT ORDER THE VEGETARIAN ENCHILADAS. They don't know how to cook enchiladas. The tortillas had too much dough . The ingredients were tiny. Practical nothing. It was severed dry, no sauce or anything. Server said they were new to the menu. You've been warned! While the views are great and the service is very good (except for the front house manager at the hostess stand with brown hair, Barbara she's extremely rude). The blonde hair hostess is very nice and considerate. The halibut is huge and severed well. I've enclosed photos of both, but unfortunately I ate it before taking photos, and left what you see because there was really nothing left to eat or see. The halibut had 2 pieces. I might come back again, but please don't order anything that might be a foreign dish. It's terrible!!!!”

“Heard a lot about the Drinkwaters Lounge and finally tried it out. Pretty disappointing. View is nice. Fish and chips was average. Pulled pork Mac and cheese was below average. Old fashioned was average. Saw that they are charging $30 for..... Nachos. And an extra $10, if you want meat on them. Pretty wild pricing. Also saw so many dead little flies on the window sill beside us. Counted over 20. When we notice stuff like that you wonder how dirty other places in the restaurant are.”

“We look forward to coming here every year! We’ve been coming for the past 17 years and always have a great time! The service is always very good, and they are accommodating since there are usually a few of us that don’t ski, but we will hold a table for the rest that do. Joanna has been our server for the past 15 years, and you’ll never get anyone more attentive and fun! She’s great, we always try to sit in her section when we can! We did another shot ski this year!”

“We had the 1/2 and 1/2 meal for two, it was a good sized portion for two ribs and chicken with fries and gravy, but what really made our meal was that they took the care to ask us how we wants our pup’s steak cooked and the steak they gave us was a decent size we ordered the steak kids meal and our boy was pretty happy”

“If you go during the day, Tuesday through Friday you will get Angela working the bar. She is top shelf. Not that others there aren't. It's just that she's top shelf. Menu changed a bit. Still really good. I was just used to what it was. As far as neighborhood pubs go you're nit going to go wrong heading to the Sully. Awesome place.”

“The staff here seems to change fairly often but....they seem to find the best staff consistently ! No chips, lottery tickets, pop but great prices on your average beers wine and a limited selection of hard bar. Again, great staff”

“I was shocked at the high level of service and quality! The whole family enjoyed their meal and we tried a number of menu items. Food came out in a pretty timely fashion despite the fact that they just got slammed with a ton of customers. Eating out these days is pricey, but you won’t be sorry eating at Eddy’s considering the value for money! Can’t wait to return next summer!”

“Great place to eat! The place was nearly full when we arrived, and it looked like the bartender came out from behind the bar to help the server get caught up because she was taking care of nearly the entire dining room. Despite this, she took care of us in a timely fashion, and provided us with excellent customer service. I had a cheeseburger and fries, and my wife had the chicken strips and fries. The fries were very, very tasty, and that burger was spot on! The chicken strips tasted like they came out of the freezer, but I liked them so I finished them. All in all, great meal, and I recommend!”

“This was our second year in a row visiting Rustica for our anniversary dinner. Last year we had a phenomenal night, this year, however, was a different story. In 2022, every staff member went above and beyond by wishing us a happy anniversary (there is an option through online booking to select an anniversary as the occasion), providing a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, our server when quizzed was very knowledgeable about the different types of steak and the food was fantastic. Sitting outside was a beautiful experience with the amazing view over the valley. Overall we were made to feel very special and all involved went above and beyond. Given this experience, we decided to come back this year to celebrate our special day once again. In 2023, the menu was smaller, not one staff member wished us a happy anniversary (despite booking the same way as last year), and our server stood behind us instead of in front of us which made it awkward to communicate. On top of this, we each ordered a $60 steak and although the flavor was good, the steak came out lukewarm (not cool enough to send back, but not great either). We decided to sit inside this year due to it being a little chilly, and although we had about the best view possible from inside the restaurant, there were a few details that could easily be taken care of. The table cloth had a hole in it, the chairs are outdated, there were several dead flies around, the windows are noticeably dirty. Overall, the experience in 2023 was not what we had come to expect from 2022. With a few alterations, we feel this could be back to what it was.”

“The food is amazing. We had the 14" carnivore pizza and it was full of toppings (unlike the pizzeria in the middle of Kimberly). We also shared the nachos and it was filled with cheese and toppings. Tiffany, our server, was friendly and efficient. She also kept all the tables clean despite working the pub alone. I highly recommend this pub. You won't go home hungry.”

“We started with some poutine which was delicious. The beef dip was so good, toasted bun was the perfect amount of soft and crunch. The onions and cheese took this sandwich over the top!”
