Cogburn Beach

It's a really great place to get away from it all. Road is not too rough, even for smaller vehicles. There's no cell service unless you travel 10km back toward town. Beautiful views, waterfalls, passable amenities.

Beautiful location, non-existent campsite. It's first come first serve on a beach with no designated campsites. The paying situation is sketchy at best (got approached at midnight regarding payment for campsites by a guy that asked for cash payment or else a tow truck would randomly tow 3 vehicles). We didn't pay and neither did the majority of our group and no one was towed. I'm not even sure what you are paying for as there are no facilities at all and the beach is accessed off of a logging road. If they want people to pay they should make it seem legitimate and not approach people in the middle of the night.

Location is absolutely beautiful but again the way that payment works is super sketchy. There is also quite a bit of uncleaned garbage around.

Beach can get very busy so arrive early if you plan on going on a nice weekend.

A great place to spend a weekend with family and friends along a beautiful stretch of Cogburn Beach. On a weekend or a holiday expect to see there many other tents that will be your neighbors for the time you stay.

Lovely views and nice area.. But WE WERE EATEN ALIVE BY MOSQUITOS!
So keep that in mind.
The dirt road there was 20km and passed a lot of logging trucks zooming by.

Love this beach. Easy to social distance and good for camping. We went for the day and there were tonnes of people camping over night. There was a person at the entrance of Cogburn Beach, not sure if you have to pay or register. There's also an outhouse at the 21 km mark, not sure if there are more.

We rode 2 up on the bike. It's a 30 minute ride on the bike on the forestry service road, a little rough but as long as you know what you're doing it's fine.

There's shady and sunny spots and the water is clear and refreshing.
