Skwellepil Creek Rec Site

Mixed feelings on this. Beautiful lake, nice big area to camp but very disapointed in how people treat this amazing place. Lots of garbage left behind, 2 burnt cars. Piles of house garbage on the side of the road. So sad. People want a great experience going out there, but you will be disgusted by how people treat this great place. If you pack it in pack it out. Oh.....and there are no fish in the lake.

Nice spot. Amazing views

Perfect camping spot during the summer months or winters based on preferences. No washroom facilities in the area just an fyi but a wonderful place to spend an evening around a bonfire and enjoy the waterfalls in the vicinity and just the calm of this area.

This lake is well hidden. After the 30kms of driving down a dirt road you finally get to the turn off of the recreation site. It is beautiful and majestic even on a cloudy day. You definitely need a boat to do fishing at this lake. Along the shoreline you can walk a fair distance but if you are trying to catch fish then get a boat. There is one outhouse but you have to bring your own toilet paper (just to be safe). If you’re going to come this far into the wilderness you might as well come prepared.
