Sayres Lake Campground

Campground Lodging Park

“Went today Labour Day, really nice and quiet. Tried fishing for about 1-2 hour, 3-5pm. Didn’t catch anything, nor did we swim. The dock is quite small. During peak times, I’m sure we wouldn’t have been able to fish. Dirt/gravel road for 12 km. Took maybe 25 mins to drive. Really rough at certain points and some steep hills. We drove a van. SUV or truck would have been easier. Overall it was great. Probably not going again unless we have a truck. ????”

Rolley Lake Provincial Park Campground

Address: Mission, BC V4S 1C6, Canada

Campground Lodging Park

“Great family camping close to the Fraser Valley. Nice, clean sites with regular bathroom and 2 showers. Sandy beach with a relatively clean, warm lake. No power boats, so it's great for kayaking, etc. Only two small trails in this area, that I'm aware of; both are very easy (around the lake and to a small waterfall). Weekends are less exciting because it can get loud at night with the "party" groups that show up...”

They stock it with fish but make sure to bring a boat.”

The festival was so very well organized and always kept tidy. Only wish more people would have come out to experience this event. Hope there will be a 2nd year...Dancing on the lawn under the stars with the family old and young, nothing better.”

“While I haven't stayed there myself, I do know that many self-supported cross Canada cyclists pick this place as their destination for the first (or second) leg of their trip (depending on where they started) on the way to Hope. The owner says about 50 each year, and from my research, at least 12 have indicated this from their trip journals. This is a great stop for self-supported cyclist to stop at when cycling across Canada. It's an Approved Accommodation for the Bike Across Canada Route Network #7”

Silverdale Creek Wetlands

Address: 31650 Silverdale Ave, Mission, BC V4S 1J8, Canada

“Beautiful park. Great place to go for a little walk and get some fresh air. Only downside was the amount of dog poop left behind by lazy owners, it was pretty shocking.”

South Entrance to Heritage Park

Address: 33765 Mary St, Mission, BC V2V 6Y9, Canada

Park

“A very pretty park! Enjoyed a picnic lunch with a friend here while her children played in a very large sandbox full of toys. Big, spacious grassy fields, restrooms and even a cafe. The view of the mountains is spectacular from here. Would definitely recommend. The entrance was easy to spot, once approaching the park, but not viewable from the main road below. Be sure to stay left of the fork and go up the hill. Wheelchair accessible.”

Fraser River Heritage Park

Address: 7494 Mary St, Mission, BC V2V 6Y9, Canada

Park

“Great picnic park in Mission that overlooks a great view of the mighty muddy Fraser river and Abbotsford in the distance. This is where they have the spectacular Folk music festival and the annual Powwow. It has an interesting history and is a site that originally had catholic schools and farm. There are remains of the old buildings and a cemetery on the other side of the park. They are numerous informational signs around the site to show photos and explain this history. Large area for some good walking. Perfect for dog walking with your loved one. One of my favorite places to go to ☺”

Jack Poole Harbourside Park

Address: 33363-33389 Harbour Ave, Mission, BC V2V 2W3, Canada

“All sorts of seating so it's definitely a nice place to come & enjoy a coffee, had a great view of the train trestle that crosses over the Fraser, there's an information board with history about the Mission floods & the sculptures that are within the park, if you so choose a short walk away is the Lighthouse cafe right at the end of the walkway of the park. Boats dock right on the water & there's a launch area as well, parking stalls right along the main road”
