“I bought the cream puffs as a treat for the family and everyone enjoyed them! I can’t remember the exact descriptions but the flavours for my week included mango milk tea, strawberry and chocolate mousse. They aren’t cheap at $30/box but they make up for it in decadence. The pick up location isn’t super convenient but the cream puffs are worth it!”

“I made my way to their pop-up downtown and it was worth every step. I tried the bbq jackfruit roll and it was delicious - not too overpowering with the sauce but definitely hit every single craving for a somewhat filling snack. For the Gastown crowd - find their regular cinnamon buns at Dalina.”

“One of the local favourites serving quality dessert all year round. The desserts are beautifully made, with their triple chocolate cake being the most recommended flavour. The also sell home made jams which are reasonably priced. You can also find many festival desserts like, stollen or Yule logs here. And if you’re going to attend a party, bringing their cake will definitely impress everyone.”

“They did an incredible job of my friends baby shower cake. Couldn't believe how great it looked for the price! After having shopped around for cakes to find one that wasn't super costly, I was starting to lose hope of finding one within my budget but then I came across goldilocks and they were willing to work with my budget. The cakes flavour wasn't to my liking as it was super low on sweetness but it was more about the presentation anyway. If you want a rich, buttery flavour with less sugar Goldilocks is a great option. They went above and beyond and made a perfectly beautiful cake for my friend. Would definitely recommend!”

“Fun classes for anyone! Even if you have never decorated a cake in your life! Had a blast at the Pikachu cake decorating workshop with my friends! Nancy and Linda were very helpful and instructed us all the way with easy to follow steps! I also loved how creative we can be in making our own details like different faces or tiny details! I definitely want to take another class again some time!”

“Fantastic pies - especially my younger child's Banana Vanilla Bean Pie. My Pecan chocolate was okay. My elder child had the savoury spinach and cheese pie and that was tasty. Price is on the average $10 per slice - organic pricing. Overall - it cost $63 for five of us including a couple of coffees and one latte as much as our next sushi meal in the Kits area.”

“The Cake Club has rapidly become my favourite dessert / treat stop. The cake pots (especially the red velvet and cream cheese) are delicious, the macaroons the perfect amount of squishy, fluffy, gooey, crunch, and I am hooked on the cookies (especially the chocolate cake one)! The owners are as sweet as their goods and nearly always have some mouthwatering samples available. Support this local business next time you fancy a treat :)”

“Went in 15 minutes before closing to grab some pastries and they were incredibly kind and patient with us hemming and hawing for ages. Everything still tasted super fresh and delicious for end of the day. My double baked chocolate hazelnut croissant was super filling and had lovely crispiness, my friends loved the banana nutella bread pudding. Prices are very reasonable for the size and quality of their pastries! I was surprised with 20% off too, after they heard it was my birthday. So highly recommend, and definitely going back again.”

“It is a really nice place it is small but all the food is made by hand. And is brought out fresh,I get the cheese scone and the cherry scone. It even has white chocolate chips in it, so moist and fresh. Bought some granola there you can get different types I like the regular on. No almonds shavings just the raisin's in it. Mix that with yogurt and some fruit and their is a good lunch time snack”

“Great cafe! It's a bit pricey and always crowded. But the waits aren't too bad, and the food is delish! I highly recommend the caramel hot chocolate when they have it. It tastes like liquid candy, and at the same time isn't too sweet.”

“I really love it here. Matchstick has been one of my favourite cafes since moving to Vancouver from Sydney. The Vancouver coffee scene has come a long way in the past 10 years and I'm very pleased to have this gem in the neighbourhood. Friendly service, great coffee and awesome food offerings. Their menu is simple and spot-on. They have many vegan options which are arguably better than everything else. Try the Spelt Scone. Delicious! Insiders tip: If you buy a bag of beans, they will give you a free coffee. Thanks Matchstick!”

“The gluten free chicken pot pie cost $16 and had 1 sliver of chicken for the whole pie. It was mostly fillers like potatoes and corn , not a great value at all. The crust itself was very good and the flavor all was great as well. Had a donut and it was more like a hollow muffin, wouldn't quite call it a donut, though the taste was good. Their salted espresso cookie was fantastic. Overall I feel like you get very little for the cost, too much filler. I wouldn't go back.”

“One of the best places for pastries, sandwiches, wraps, and other baked goods. Ask for the sandwiches to be toasted and they are come out hot and crispy from the panini grill. Home if the cronut - a cross between a croissant and a deep fried donut. Also serves coffees. Outdoor seating is available and staff are friendly.”
