My kids did kick boxing there for 3years. Staff were friendly and programs were very well organized.
This is a great place 5 out of 5 best boxing gym in Port Moody
Best mauy thai in the tri cities!
Been training here for about 7 months now and I never look back on my decision. The head coach Kru Williams, is a high level muay thai instructor who has traveled the world in the pursuit of his talents. His life-long fight experience and iq resonates through every move he demonstrates. He is a very passionate, attentive, encouraging, and goal driven man, filled with positivity. The best quality I see in Kru is that he sees all his students as equals, knows everyone by name, and puts in the effort to converse with each of his students individually and on a personal level, no matter how busy the class is.
The other instructors have adopted the same qualities as Kru but in their own fashion. Each instructor provides their own niche skill set, which adds variety to the training and builds you to be a more well rounded athlete. The instructors all take their roles seriously, and work hard to ensure that each student really gets it before advancing the class to the next level.
Don't be discouraged by the size of this gym and it's outdated equipment in comparison to it's competitors. What the gym lacks in astetic appeal is easily overshadowed by the strong minded hearts and souls by both it's members and instructors. Everyone is there to support each other and grow which makes me feel very fortunate to have landed a place in such a great gym.
Eleven out of Five stars. There is always a positive atmosphere in every session and the instructors are incredibly passionate. There is a very strong sense of camaraderie among everyone there. It is about learning a martial art, being able to defend yourself, fighting, and fitness. It is also, surprisingly, about recovery and body maintenance. I found that they not only care about training and improvement but making sure that others are not breaking their bodies doing so. If you are willing to put your head down and learn, you will find skills here that will carry you through your life.
