A little scoop of Canadians history, a great representation and explanation of totems
How can anyone give Stanley park 3 stars. One of the best places on earth. The 3 stars is only to reflect the fact that it is a danger zone at the time of writing this review. Drove around the park today to find flocks of people enjoying cherry blossoms, which is a good thing. But not following any social distancing norms. Masks were off, understandably for selfies. However were in close proximity of one another. Just be careful folks when you are in the park.
Amazing detail and design. Although most of these are replicas, they are exact copies of what used to be there which allows the traditions and customs to be passed on and help people like myself & family learn some real history. Would love to see one being worked on from start to finish, just to see the process of making them come to life so to speak. Another great reason to come to Stanley Park and a great opportunity to learn about each other's rich and detailed history. Highly recommended for adults and children alike. Remember to get out of the way when you are done because others are there to learn as well. Don't forget to stop in at legends of the Moon and get some souvenirs of your visit, the gentleman that runs the shop is so nice and patient.
Didn't get out of the car, but always slow done to look at the poles. They are just beautiful and breath taking. I love to think about the history of them.
Great homage but sad to think of the natives displaced from colonialism.
