“Stayed at Collin’s Savary Castle for a month this spring. It is a serious adventure. A place to be remembered by young & old. Leave the city behind and dig in to the off-grid lifestyle that is found on Savary Island. The Castle steps this up by providing all of the comforts of home - if you don’t mind staying in a Dr. Seuss house. It is a rustic cabin with more than one twist - if you have OCD - this is not the place for you. A very fun and unique experience that we will talk about for a long time!”

I loved the treelined walkway, the clean and cute bathroom with the composting toilet, and of course... that kitchen with the view! Absolutely divine. “Breathtaking Desolation Sound Fantastic trip! Beautiful scenery, great atmosphere, and it was all made extra special by our attentive and informative hosts Randal and Meralon. Very comfortable boat for all weathers. Desolation Sound is stunning & so peaceful, particularly when we anchored in a small bay for a lovely dinner of grilled prawns, fresh salad, local breads, and fresh clam chowder. I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a relaxing west coast experience!”

“My wife and I came here to watch the sunset and have dinner. What an amazing spot and view. Is the food a little pricy? Yes, but if you factor in the atmosphere, it is completely worth the extra few dollars for that view - especially at sunset. I read a hilarious review on here before coming about the fries being soggy, and I can tell you that they were perfect (see photo). My crispy chicken burger was also delightful. Nice soft bunch, good flavour, nice and moist. Is it the best fried sandwich I’ve ever had? No - but it was exactly what it needed to be. My wife got the fried fish sandwich which was also very nice. My problem with this restaurant has to do with the drinks. First of all, damn are they expensive - second of all they are god awful. I wouldn’t pay 1/3 of the price for what I got. There was supposed to be tequila in both of the drinks I got, and I know for damn sure there wasn’t. I told the waitress but she assured me that there was tequila. But I couldn’t taste it at all - and I have a very good pallet. So I definitely felt jipped and lied to. The pina colada had large chunks of ice, I had asked for it to be made with tequila instead of rum, and again could not taste the tequila at all. There was nothing pleasant about any of the drinks I got. So my advice would be to go watch a beautiful sunset here, have a nice dinner and stick with water. Do not get a mixed drink.”

“Very friendly, laid back and real. My boyfriend and I had the best day because of these guys. Realistically, if you are expecting perfection it may be best to rent off the island and bring it over, but renting from this place truly gives you the experience. I got a 6 gear cruiser and had no problem with the hills and dirt roads, it was so fun.”

“Not generally a review poster - but I had to take the extra time to say how impressed I was by all the extra effort Todd, the owner/host put in to making our stay perfect. First of all - beautiful views from the suite. And it’s only a short walk down to south beach and over to the taxi terminal. Getting to Savary is a bit of a journey but once there, Todd made it so easy - he picks you up from the dock in his spacious truck that held (all 5) of our belongings and food with lots space to spare. It’s a steep hill up from the water taxi so even though it’s close, a ride is definitely appreciated. The suites all have amazing views (patio views) and have comfortable beds. Were all very clean and comfortable. The bbq and patio was an awesome spot for dinner in the evening. He gives a great detailed history of the island and knows all the interesting spots to check out. He owns several bikes, kayaks - although only available on special request. Overall, very impressed and appreciate great hospitality. Very relaxing, hassle free, and was well worth our price and time to get there.”

“Had such a great experience with Access Point! They were the most affordable option for myself and a friend with our dogs to get to Sarah Point. Super flexible, communicated well, and no restrictions with the tide like other charters which was much more convenient. Kelli gave us helpful tips about the Sunshine coast trail and even went above and beyond when I realized I forgot my key in the car- he delivered it to Powell River in his spare time which was a lifesaver! So appreciated. Highly recommend!!”

“Came here for the cinnamon buns because of the hype. Are the the best I’ve ever had? No. Did they blow my mind? No. We’re they slightly above average? Yeah, I’d probably rate them around there. It was nice to have a warm cinnamon bun though. Had the Apple and the raisin ones. Prices here are a little on the pricy side, but I guess I understand considering the location.”
