Monks on Marine

Hands down the best meal I had on the Sunshine Coast. Kudos to the chef and our amazing friendly server. My burger was perfectly cooked. The sides were fresh and delicious. My glass never went empty. Highly recommended and deserving of every star.

Lovely indoor/outdoor space, superb ambience, and excellent service. Food was delicious, though a bit heavy… which meant we had lots of leftovers (a nice bonus!).

Have to give 5 stars for the great wait staff. All friendly and with it. Food was plentiful and tasty. Ribs and burgers and good choice of beer. Nice little oceanfront deck.

Crab cakes - Delicious 🤤 They came with a little sauce and small frisée salad. Combination works wonderfully.
Tamarind Beef Ribs - Tasty. Came with potato "chips", I would call them sticks with the tamarind Beef Ribs on-top, they were slightly salty, but still Very good!
Then we had their Monk's on Marine Burger!
We were going to "make adjustments" remove sticks and one of the meats ( pulled pork )
But after a second thought, decided to try as is. Could always separate it if too much.
Well, so glad we kept it as is. Although HUGE and hard to wrap mouth around it ( cutting it works, or multiple small bites lol 😆) was very good! Super impressed! ☺️
The price of items vs food taste vs quality 🌟⭐⭐⭐
Will be going back to try other things in the menu.

The service here was so good! There appeared to be one person serving the full restaurant and they did amazing! Water was refilled before being empty. Took our order quickly and followed up during and after our meal to ensure everything was good. Now the food. The club sandwich was the best I've ever had! The side fries were perfect too! You can tell they stick to high quality ingredients and care when preparing. This is a must stop when visiting Powell River
