“Such a hidden gem to find while biking around the island. The laid back Beach vibes made us feel like we were in the tropics. The cocktails were excellent and the wood fired pizza was outstanding. We were so pleased to have made the decision to stop when we rode by.”

“My wife and I came here to watch the sunset and have dinner. What an amazing spot and view. Is the food a little pricy? Yes, but if you factor in the atmosphere, it is completely worth the extra few dollars for that view - especially at sunset. I read a hilarious review on here before coming about the fries being soggy, and I can tell you that they were perfect (see photo). My crispy chicken burger was also delightful. Nice soft bunch, good flavour, nice and moist. Is it the best fried sandwich I’ve ever had? No - but it was exactly what it needed to be. My wife got the fried fish sandwich which was also very nice. My problem with this restaurant has to do with the drinks. First of all, damn are they expensive - second of all they are god awful. I wouldn’t pay 1/3 of the price for what I got. There was supposed to be tequila in both of the drinks I got, and I know for damn sure there wasn’t. I told the waitress but she assured me that there was tequila. But I couldn’t taste it at all - and I have a very good pallet. So I definitely felt jipped and lied to. The pina colada had large chunks of ice, I had asked for it to be made with tequila instead of rum, and again could not taste the tequila at all. There was nothing pleasant about any of the drinks I got. So my advice would be to go watch a beautiful sunset here, have a nice dinner and stick with water. Do not get a mixed drink.”

“Came here for the cinnamon buns because of the hype. Are the the best I’ve ever had? No. Did they blow my mind? No. We’re they slightly above average? Yeah, I’d probably rate them around there. It was nice to have a warm cinnamon bun though. Had the Apple and the raisin ones. Prices here are a little on the pricy side, but I guess I understand considering the location.”

“My husband and I were visiting from Victoria where our favorite food is Indian. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared the coconut veggie curry, butter chicken and pakoras. The portions were good. We even had leftovers. The food was delicious. I also want to add that I was really impressed that the 1st question asked when I called in our order was if we had any food allergies. We don't but it is good to know that is something they consider important. Excellent value for money. Thank you!”

“What an adorable little shop! Everything is local, fresh, handmade or homegrown. There is fresh meat, ice cream, cookies, eggs and so many veggies. This is the perfect stop to or from Lund. Be careful not to hit the free range chickens, peacocks, guinea fowl or lovely guard dogs roaming the area.”

“Great selection of vegan food AND open 7 days a week. Hands down one of my favourite finds in PR. Met the owner, who took great pride in his store and being able to source great and sometimes hard to find vegan products. Great selection of local produce. I love how the store is organized and their (seeming) philosophy of doing things well and peacefully. Bonus it’s in Historic Powell River / Townsite.”

“We have been sporadically stopping in for beer over the last 10 years. The beer has always been great and its a pretty unique building. We were a little disappointed with the daycare vibe going on with the beer garden out back.”

“Simply, amazing. The bread and baked goods are second to none. The breads, salted chocolate, lemon tarts were exceptional. So much so we went back the next morning for more. If Hearth and Grain were located in any other urban area they would be sold out within minutes. Please support the wholesome and quality from Hearth and Grains.”

“This shop has so many interesting items to explore! Locally made goodies, a great assortment of herbs by weight, and lots of unique gift ideas as well. Lots of items that you can't find anywhere else, especially in Powell River. Highly recommend a visit to this store and every store in the Townsite Public Market!”

“Stopped by this cute coffee shop during our visit to Powell River. Super friendly staff. I had a Lavender Bliss tea and Cabin cookie - so good! The cookie was packed with seeds, nuts and raisins (cranberries?). Almost granola bar-like. Very tasty, filling and fueled me up for the day's adventures. Tea was absolutely lovely. Check out their great merch and of course the Sasquach mural!!! Highly recommend.”

“This month, Powell River was gifted an extraordinary fine-foods market. A beautifully curated cheese and charcuterie selection, organic dairy products at a lower price than local grocers, pate, quality olive oil, the list goes on! Rostik and Anna have created a space to showcase the best of the best both local and internationally produced items to make your next meal or gathering something special. No more trips to Vancouver, the finer things can be found right in town.”

“I was in Powell River for a month for work and didn't want to eat out every night. I swung by convenient chef to check out their offerings and was very impressed. Not only can you see where they make the food and their ingredients, they also change the menu you frequently. They also worked to help create something that would work with my dietary restrictions. I highly recommend !”

“I always enjoy dining here! It is quite the experience if you are looking for one! Such a cute and quaint place with their friendly and personable staff members (who know how to crack jokes at just the right time!) I always leave feeling full of amazing food and wanting to go back, just as I step down the stairs. Lol. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for good food, a calm atmosphere, and/or just somewhere cozy to enjoy a coffee looking at the sea. Oh! And their IN-HOUSE-MADE Jam is literally to die for! So good! And when the berry season is good, they sell it to customers! How amazing! Honestly, it's just the best place I've been yet. I have never had to wait in line in the handful of times I've been so far (bound to increase as time goes on) and the tables are always clean, just like the floors and everything else. A well maintained joint. I never feel as if I've spent too much for my plate; the portions are darn big! And so freakin tasty!! Drooling just thinking about their dishes! If you haven't hit up Edie Rae's Cafe, then you have not yet experienced the whole power of Powell River ❤️🔥”

“Been told by a few people they have the best pizza in Powell River. My first pizza was solid. Tasty and traditional sauce that was well seasoned and neutral/mild in heat. Fresh toppings and overall a well balanced pizza. They charge a couple bucks more, but not unreasonable for the quality especially when the 2 for 1 discount works for your order. A single large pickup special would bring me back more often. I'll definitely be ordering again to explore their specialty pizzas. Thanks”

“The service here was so good! There appeared to be one person serving the full restaurant and they did amazing! Water was refilled before being empty. Took our order quickly and followed up during and after our meal to ensure everything was good. Now the food. The club sandwich was the best I've ever had! The side fries were perfect too! You can tell they stick to high quality ingredients and care when preparing. This is a must stop when visiting Powell River”

“The staff and volunteers are wonderful here. They have done some wonderful changes here. They have a wonderful farm program here that brings in fresh vegetables. Thank you for the wonderful help that you bring to this community. The people here are positive and willing to help also. Edit: to the person who gave a 3 star rating they have lots of fresh vegetables from our local farmers.”
