“Linda was super nice accommodating us with an early check in with our Waterfront Cabin. We stayed for 3 days and two nights over Christmas . Every thing was perfect ! We had family visit us at the cabin on Xmas day and it was excellent for a Xmas get together. My husband probably spent about 30 hours in the hot tub, and I enjoyed it too! We would highly recommend this resort! We have already booked our next stay for February 2021. My husband asked me to add in the review that he would have liked bathrobes provided. Cant wait 'til February to be back !”

“Nice pads on the Marina. Loved the view even though it was sometimes blocked by the smoke from the forest fires down south. Well stocked store on site. Lots of places to explore by car nearby. Nine hole golf course was challenging but fun. Will return next year.”

“Painted boat staff at reception have to be kindest and most helpful people ever. The resort was absolutely beautiful. We stayed 3 nights for our honeymoon and we are SO refreshed! Probably the best customer service I’ve ever had. The room was so spacious and had a beautiful view of the marina. The kitchen had high end pots, pans and knives and had almost every small appliance you could think of. They made our stay so wonderful down to the last detail. The spa is a must.”

“We stayed at Marta's and Jack's beautiful home at Garden Bay Lake and absolutely loved it! Marta was an amazing hostess, giving us homemade banana bread, plum pie and vegetables right out of their garden. Our suite was spotless and had everything we needed including a BBQ! The deck off the bedroom was wonderful, with a view of the lake and gorgeous landscaped yard. Jack is a talented artist and has some of his work in the yard. A bonus was that his Gallery is attached to the home with his unique art work, including stunning sculptures. Marta also had made some lovely jewelry. We bought a couple of bracelets for gifts. Marta and Jack kindly let us use their dock on the lake which we kayaked and swam from. Their location was also perfect as there was other lakes and the ocean close by for exploring on our drive. We will definitely be staying with Marta and Jack again! Ramona and Eileen”

“This review is for the grasshopper pub. Absolutely amazing! Some of the best food we've ever had! I don't know how they consider it pub food because it's far above your typical "pub" food! The views are incredible and the service was fantastic! Our server was 7 months pregnant and gave us 110% worth of service! The prices are also surprisingly affordable. I'm absolutely amazed and will definitely be returning!”

“Locale and surrounding scenery was incredible, however many of the features of the suite we'd stayed in were either not as advertised or no longer functioning. Be aware that "full kitchen" only constitutes a stovetop and microwave (though you can request a toaster over). Their jacuzzi bath tubs also have issues, with the tv and say a functions disabled and many of the nozzles or handles not working as expected. They'd be better off replaced as standard tubs - at least this would stop a random pipe from spurting water in your face. We were given a discount after bringing up these things and some other issues, however the management really should update the website to accurately reflect what is actually being offered. Hot tub was standard size, but nice!”

“The camping facilities were decent - well maintained glamping tent was a comfortable bed, electric fire place and mosquito net. The shower facilities could have been more clean but the showers weren't time restricted so ?. The communal kitchen and food prep area could use some work. The resort has a great access to Ruby lake thats about 8 minute walk from the camp site. You can rent kayaks, etc. at the lake and there a decent amount of space on the dock (deck?) to catch some rays. All in all - had a great time and would visit again, if only to eat at Trattoria - their attached restaurant - again ?”

“The motel is located right of the highway but very quiet, clean and perfectly maintained. This is not your typical motel. The room was better stocked, maintained and cleaned than many top end hotels I have stayed at (and worked for- Fairmont, 4 Seasons...). All the amenities one needs+++. Terri took amazing care of my booking and no details were over looked. She truly went far above and beyond and is in my mind a top level hospitality pro. (many hoteliers could learn a thing or two from her!) I look forward to staying here again and you should as well! Thanks Terri”

“We stayed in the Small Vintage cabin (Unit 1, pet- friendly). Lovely setting on front of water . Very small, basic, rustic. Clean. Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil setting and location. Staff is excellent but insides of cabins need updating. Staff work very hard keeping place running well. The downside that may prevent us coming back would be mattress that is way overdue for replacing. Springs are showing and poking into our backs. 3 nights of uncomfortable sleep! Keurig coffee pods terrible if you're a coffee drinker. Thanks to Hamish who offered better coffee at check-in office! Thanks to Kathleen and Hamish for wonderful hospitality and friendly service. We enjoyed the atmosphere and beautiful location. Hopefully some updates soon!”
