“Full disclosure, I visited this gallery because Elizabeth Sellors is a friend of mine and I admire her work. This gallery is a long ways out of my way but it is a really nice place and I'm glad I had a reason to visit. There was a wide range of work on display and available, from paintings through digital to ceramics and everything was reasonably priced for original art pieces. I had a nice chat with the owner about a very old family heirloom I was looking at having conserved and re framed and I liked his professionalism and attitude. Now, the real reason I went in the first place was the exhibition of a local artist's works. I've included a sampling of her paintings here and you can see that they are an interesting mix of realism and abstractionism that all speak to a love of painting and a love of the countryside. I've heard of almost all the sites she has painted, and have visited a good number of them myself in my wanderings. Her images make me want to visit the ones I haven't been to yet which is a pretty good indication that her work is of the highest quality. I am particularly impressed with her rending of the cloudscapes as they are not only realistic, but I think very accurate from a meteorological aspect. I am still working on fluffy white happy clouds myself so to see an image and recognize stratus, cumulus or stratocumulus in the painting is impressive. If you live near St Vital Centre I recommend you pop in and take in her exhibition and check out the gallery.”

“Nipped in while I was visiting the art gallery/shop next door. A well stocked lumber yard although their stock of wasp control products was low. Probably due to seasonal demands sice there was lots of space on the shelves. I haven't been out much lately and my covid habits are a bit off. I crowded a customer at the register but everyone was polite in pointing out my error and I was able to distance properly. There was no discernable extra wait or other concern so I would cheerfully shop there again”

“Went for the Jean sale event. Heard on the radio "Jeans for $20" or something. Poster on door said "50% off all jeans!" Sounds awesome! Walked in and saw no one for the first 5 minutes. As usual it turned out to be UP TO 50% so most were only 20% off. Jean wall was an absolute mess so was very hard to find sizes. Staff was very friendly once I did find them. Bought 3 pairs for $90. Still a good price, but not $20 each like I hoped.”
