“Exceptionally helpful and courteous front desk....especially Garett. Great waterfront views from my room. Breakfast buffet was good but wished they changed everyday. Rooms were well maintained and clean. Just a couple of minor issues during my stay. The pool side towels were gone and there was no phone to call for more (there was a phone for emergencies only). Had to go to the room dripping wet. Can do better with snow removal in parking lot. Location is unbeatable. I’d stay here again if I visited Halifax.”

“Nice and clean hostel with comfy and well equipped kitchen. No free breakfast, but when I visited there were free baked goods in the kitchen every afternoon. The staff is nice and the location perfect to explore the city.”

“Everything is great except we were trapped in the elevator on the lobby floor for over an hour and a half. The lady on the emergency line lied to us that there were people helping us get out. The third time we called, she was gone home and the answering machine picked up, then redirected to a different person that hung up on us. We eventually forced the door open and informed the front desk, He was clueless to what was happening. The supervisor offered only 1 free night of parking for 2 vehicles of our 3 night stay. Also , we were offered 1 snack and 1 drink in the snack section. Sternly told the offer was ONLY to the 7 of 9 people that were actually stuck in the elevator. I feel like if we didn't take the initiative to force the door open, we would have been there for hours. There should have been better emergency procedures in place. This could have been very serious. I feel as though this was not sufficient compensation for how negligent the emergency operator was, the hotel was not notified.”

“Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Delicious complementary breakfast. Gym was clean and convenient. Great stay in the middle of downtown Halifax. Hotel was easy to find and parking was right by the hotel. Convenient to ice skating, restaurants, and other attractions. Rooms were clean ans well-stocked. Beds are very comfortable.”
