“I don't care for the new market location, but that is not their fault I got the Korean BBQ hotdog, and it exceeded expectations. I wasn't really expecting that level of barbecue flavour from a market stall, but damn it was good. The woman working was so sweet, and I saw her telling fellow market vendors she would deliver to their stall so they wouldn't have to wait around more than twice. I'm happy to support this local business anytime I can as good people making great food”

“Food was delicious but very small portions. I was surprised to order pasta that didn't come with bread. Our waitress was very slow. I ordered a coffee to have with dessert. Brought out dessert and 10 minutes later brought coffee. No cream or sugar so I had to wait for her to bring that back as well. Really like the heaters with the outside tables. Stayed nice and warm 😌”

“Love this spot. Huge windows let in tons of natural light and give you a great view as you enjoy fresh coffee and a nice variety of edibles. We had the Chipotle Chicken Club and The Western Wrap which were both delicious. We went with regular drip coffee but they have lots of other choices. Please give this place a try.”

“Had the best Rum cake here. I would recommend tourists visit here whether you are from Nova Scotia or visiting from around the world. The candy/ice cream shop next door has a nice variety. I loved seeing some of my favorites from when I was a child.”

“Very good food. This is fine dining at its finest. The service matches the food, both excellent. My mom had an issue with her pasta, they whipped up another one super quick. Second time around it was just perfect. Everything else that came out was flawless. Their beef short rib was to die for and the risotto with scallops was divine. Can't wait to go again when I'm back in Halifax!”

“This place is pretty neat. It's not a public restaurant, but more private. Code to get in the front door. The place is a bit worn, but overall it's a really nice small pub. Food was excellent and beers were great. Has pool tables, darts and a table top curling game.”

“Pizza is delicious and staff are friendly. A great place to grab a quick bite before heading to class. If you don't like pizza there are other options as well. Maybe it's because it's summer, the selections of pizza is not the best in the world as I only saw pepperoni, veggie and cheese.”

“Nice place..went on a Saturday afternoon..got the unlimited sushi option..the food was nice.. but I think it was a bit expensive for the amount of food I ate.. the miso soup was very nice and the shrimp tempura was amazing. Some of the fried stuff was a bit oily but good nonetheless.. if you like sushi the. You will like this place..would I go back there again? Sure why not!”

“Had an early dinner here and the food and service was exceptional. Three friends shared 3 apps (olives, cauliflower and crab dip), the rigatoni a la vodka and the chocolate cake and everything was exceptional but the rigatoni was a group fav. We also all had the hotel Georgia cocktail which was great, and tried a wonderful new bottle of wine based on recommendation of our server. Highly recommend.”

“True Japanese dessert cafe. Need to experience it. Ramen was a bit pricey but the soup was not too oily nor salty. Make-you-feel-good healthy comfort food. Just the portion could be bigger. The green tea was surprisingly good. Nicely steeped and deep flavour. Went so well with the desserts 🧁”

“Happy Veal Hot Pot is an amazing well established hot pot restaurant with so much more to offer. Thursday night is also Bbq night with a vast array of mouthwatering delicacies. The Chef is well versed in authentic cuisine and the array of hot pot offerings fills the menu. If in doubt, ask the Hostess and wait staff for help. But no matter what you order, you cannot go wrong with your choices. Even if you only visit Halifax for a day, Happy Veal Hot Pot is a " must stop " to experience the best dining experience in Nova Scotia.”

“Visited NS and hands down the best lobster rolls. The buns are actual English hot dog buns which are fluffy, tender and perfectly toasted. They offer a hot and cold version of lobster meat that is different from traditional cold lobster rolls. My family kept wanting to come back here for more! Their grilled cheese is also really good! Definitely the ultimate lobster roll and trust us, we tried A LOT. Not sure why the reviews are only average should be much higher.”

“We loved our lunch at Norbert’s today. The environmentally friendly concept is great. Local sourcing makes it wonderful. We had the haddock chowder and the fish and chips and both were wonderful. Some of the best fish and chips I have ever had. The fries were homegrown and rustic. It was just wonderful. I highly recommend this place.”

“Most times I go for groceries in the market, I grab something from Shivani’s kitchen. Lately, before leaving, I am compelled to tell the how much I loved whatever I had... COMPELLED! I don’t thank my parents for giving me life but I need to compliment a cook because of their delicious wrap?!? Satisfied everytime!”

“Vegans rejoice! All the veg stews are vegan. I had a combo plate, $12, of three of the veg dishes with lentil rice, all very tasty. (I chose black-eyed peas, eggplant and cabbage.) Central location is good.”

“Great service, good pizza, and really convenient location. The space is small so it could get really busy. I did like that they had pop from the neighbouring Garrison brewery. Check it out as you visit pier 21 museum!”

“It would be better without all the millennial staff standing at the end of the bar arguing over who's cut from work first...while none of them do any work.”

“This Subway is like the rest of the food giants, a conveyor belt of sandwich goodness. Like all the other chain fast food places, they have it down to a science of getting people in, getting them fed and getting them out. This location does it with the marked efficiency that one would expect it to do. Get it made, get ya fed, get you on your way. This location is clean and bright and welcomes you in . Staff is great and you leave satisfied. It’s conveniently located and easy to find. What else could you possibly want in a sub shop? :-)”
