“The museum is just great! Very well maintained. I suggest a visit to everyone not just kids. It’s small but full of things to explore. I visited it during the 100th-year celebration of Gus the Tortoise. He’s soooo cute! I loved to see him. The staff of the museum is amazing, very friendly and they take really good care of Gus and everything else. The old buddy deserves all the love!”

“We were the only ones here initially so it was great having the place to ourselves. We were mainly there for family pictures at our grandfather's boat shop but it was entertaining to be followed by the sheep wherever we went.”

“My first job was a museum guide here when I was 16, and it gave me an interest in history as well as experience dealing with customer service. I definitely have good memories of this place and always love taking a visit in the summer and seeing what new artifacts have been donated. This is a gem in the community”

“Cool little spot hidden in the middle of a city. An inexpensive place to taje ghe family for a few hours without having to go too far. Great to walk through as a couple or with small kids. Older kids (10 and up) will likely be unimpressed. We took a 3 and a 5 year old and they loved seeing the animals and walking through the gardens. As adults we really liked going through the historic buildings. Since this place is a low key hidden spot, you can really take your time. There is a little restaurant and some local jams, etc for sale too. Bathroom on site near the restaurant.”

“This is such a wonderful place to visit. There are many small shops, some of which are closed in the winter, but there are two shops that stay open in the winter. One of them is a place called "Coffee Tea & Sea", of which I have a few pictures of, and the other is a gift shop. Wonderful and welcoming people is who you see there. I very highly recommend this area to everyone.”
