I would be doing a lot of injustice if I didn’t write reviews about this hospital and the services we received. I was on a vacation with my parents and we were at Grotto hike when my 70year old father slipped on the rocks and fell causing a severe forearm fracture and a facial deep cut. We were at a location where there was hardly any cell service but somehow got through to 911 who then assisted with the Grotto park services and emergency team arrived within few minutes through the hiking trail to rescue and provide emergency treatment to my father in buggies. Soon after he was taken to Grey Bruce hospital, Lions Head. We were provided with excellent service with timely treatment to my father. Dr Faria, the ER doctor and Nurse Aman were extremely kind along with Radio tech (name not known). They immediately helped my father with initial reduction of fracture and cast placement on the hand. They were able to help my father with pain meds and orthopaedic consult as well. All the panic we faced at Grotto was handled very well by the park services, the paramedic team and emergency hospital team. Kudos to all of them and also the people around us who constantly supported us in the time of distress. Thank you 🙏🏽
While visiting the area from St Catharines, I had an unfortunate fall. It turned out I fractured 3 bones in my foot. The care I received by Dr. Jonathon Thomas and the staff was outstanding. They x-rayed my foot and then sent me to Owen Sound for a CT scan. All done within a few hours. He was also able to get me a referral to an orthopedic surgeon in my area. Best care ever. I hope you enjoyed the dounuts!
My friend and I were taken here after almost two hours in frigid water, rescued by the coast guard. I lost consciousness. Woke up to the wonderful people in this hospital, telling me I’d be okay. They are amazing. I’m only two days, post-experience. Doing well. The cost guard, firefighters, nurses, and doctor, we owe everything to. And I woke up to really caring fire guy named Cam, rubbing my arm, that was so comforting and amazing. I hope he knows how appreciative I am. Thank you all, so much.
Walked in Er for a swollen knee on a Saturday at lunch . Did 4 X-rays on my knee and the Doc gave me the goods. Those guys don't mess around. Wife said i was in and out in less then an hour... Very impressive!!!! Lions head hospital staff should travel around and show how its done and maybe wait times will disappear. Awesome crew working up there !!!! Big THANK YOU . 👍
