I won't shop at most grocery stores, they're friendly, answer any questions and treat you like family. Zerhs doesn't come close to this stores ethics. Food Basics you know how to run a business, thank you very much.

Here's a great example for management losing a popular product. Generally we have been happy with shopping at Food Basics, but their selection for ethnic groceries could be much better.
The Karrara Dahi Bhalla is one of the best ethnic products I have bought at Food Basics. The directions were simple to prepare for a very popular product. We served our family and friends and everyone loved it. Unfortunately, everytime I bought it they hadn't coded the UPC so they rang up a similar priced miscellaneous item. I would ask the cashiers to inform the managers, but it didn't get coded. A few weeks ago they had the product on sale at 50% as they want to get rid if it and again, it had no UPC coded for the POS. It is likely the product will not be stocked, as the managers were not bothered to track it and it has no sales recorded for the Karrara Dahi Bhalla.

Stopped in to pickup a few items. I was surprised, the store was recently renovated. It was very clean, the vegetables, produce and fruits were very well displayed. All of them looked fresh and delicious. The other areas of the store were similar, well stocked and organized. There is also a Time Hortons mini location in the store to grab a coffee for your shopping trip. Parking is a breeze and there are plenty of spots. If I am in the area, I will be back.
