“Awesome service, but beds need bedbug encasement covers as a preventative measure. The frontdesk area of this motel looks nice, so the rooms should reflect that, that's just my opinion. I try to give a review that turns negatives into positives, as I recently graduated from Hospitality Management- Hotel & Restaurant, at St. Clair College and I understand the accommodation & service industry a great deal during my studies. Awesome weekly deals for double and queen rooms. Best price in the entire city. I know its difficult to upgrade rooms, while keeping prices low, but if the rooms were updated slowly one room at a time, this would be possible for improvement of room quality for the best guest The rooms with double beds definitely need new mattresses, the one i had in the first room i received had a heavily stained boxspring. experience possible. Also, blankets should be checked more carefully for hairs, food crumbs, etc. Tv channels could use an upgrade other than that, my stay has been great!”

“Best Airbnb Bed and breakfast we have ever been to in Canada. Charming 1900's setting, carefully decorated and a wonderful full cooked breakfast that will keep you going until the afternoon!! Everything cooked fresh with a few surprise Chinese touches. Renee is the friendliest host! The bed was super comfortable, the room was really large and had its own ample washroom with Jacuzzi jets bathtub.”

“I'm giving the Westview 5 stars because it was clean and served my needs perfectly. It's not a fancy hotel, hence the name "motel". It is what it is - an unpretentious place to crash at night. I was in room #2 and the bed was very comfortable... the pillows were firmer than I'd prefer, but I got by. The air conditioning unit didn't really blow cold air, so if it's really hot during the day don't expect it to be like an icebox in the room. The bathroom was small all the way around, but it was fine. No complaints. My friend and I brought our bicycles and there was ample room to store the bikes in our rooms. The new(er) plastic Adirondack chairs outside the rooms were actually very comfy. Stacy, the manager, was super friendly, as was her sister that was tending bar at the Westview Tavern. For the adventurer that is going to be out seeing the island all day the Westview is a great place to stay.”

“You know the accommodations are great when they become one of your favourite parts of the trip. The Wandering Dog Inn is incredibly special and made our adventure to Pelee Island an amazing getaway. Cathy and Kevin were the perfect hosts; warm, helpful, and chalk-full of good stories and island history. Visits from their uber-friendly dog, Fred, were an added bonus. The breakfast was excellent and they built us a bonfire for one of the warm fall evenings. The cabins are beautiful and immaculately clean, with super comfortable beds, charcoal barbecues, and kitchen basics. Each cabin has a large, private screened-in porch — perfect for having an afternoon nap in the slung-up hammock, or a glass of wine and a game of crib while listening to the waves crashing on the coast, just down the road. The grounds, gardens, and main house feel like a step back in time, and are totally picture-worthy. We loved our time on Pelee Island - the slow-down mentality, friendly locals, beautiful landscapes, and the unique wildlife. It was everything an escape from the daily grind should be, and The Wandering Dog inn made us feel completely relaxed, comfortable, and connected to the Island so we could really take it all in. Thank you!”

“I stayed at The Gathering Place for only 1 night. It was very easy to find. Marg and Bernie greeted me at the door upon arrival. They were very warm, welcoming and considerate. They provided me recommendations on things to do around the island as well as directions if needed. They were very generous and kind. The property was lovely, with many relaxing and beautiful spots to sit and enjoy some coffee or Pelee Island wine. The bedroom was clean, cozy and presentable. Breakfast was amazing and exceeded my expectations. They were very accommodative to my dietary restrictions. I definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet, relaxing getaway. I will definitely be returning, and for more than 1 night next time.
