“After a terrible stay at a nearby lakeside Inn, my family and I desperately needed a pick-me-up. We were so fortunate to discover Rise and Roam Coffee. Hannah was kind and thoughtful, offering my daughter mini versions of the drinks she was considering to make sure she would be happy with her selection, "Mom this is seriously the best hot chocolate. It's ready to drink right away!" Thank you for providing a kid friendly beverage that was just the right temperature! My iced maple oat milk latte was incredible! Leagues better than Starbucks and much more affordable!! All the treats we tried (a butter tart, pumpkin scone, apple muffin, and double chocolate muffin) were fresh and delicious! We'll definitely be returning whenever we visit Algonquin Park. Thank you for helping us turn our frowns upsidedown with incredible customer service and superb menu items! (=”

“It was a nice surprise seeing a beaver tails trailer on our way home after camping for a few nights. The beaver tails we ordered were perfectly made. There was quite a line up but it was worth with the wait. The staff was very friendly and came to find us to give us our beaver tails.”

“Ok so to speak of the good points...the location is beautiful, liked the lake view...the seating areas, bbq provided, very neat and clean. Quite place , cozy fire pits all in all a great getaway. But the facility definitely needs improvement in terms of providing comfortable beds...the thing over there is not a bed at all...its just some piles of mattresses on a very odd iron platform which makes weird sounds and is not at all comfortable...Blankets were not provided considering its COVID..get it....also no cutlery...get this too...But to my disappointment there were no SOAPS provided...really...considering its Covid times soaps should very much be provided by the facility ...I don't know if the management cares about the guest' reviews or not ...but i believe in giving my honest reviews which could be of some use for the future guests.”

“Went up june 29 and left July 1st of 2020. We had a great experience. Staying at cottage #2 was amazing because we were right beside the shore and close to the nice dock. The free kayaks/canoes were a great bonus. The cottage itself is good for your needs, but I didn’t go there for the lavish lifestyle - I went there to enjoy the outdoors. Having your own fire pit was also a major plus (some other places have a communal fire pit, which isn’t something I prefer). It’s also very close to Algonquin and they were able to provide cheaper Algonquin passes for me! $10/day where as it’s $18/day if you buy it from Algonquin. Would I go there again? Definitely!”

“It was the best time away. This place feels like home, was nice and clean and relaxing. It’s hard to travel since I have a small dog and this place was perfect because it’s pet friendly. They had a nice beach front which is really all that mattered to me. The owners were great because they were always available to answer any questions about the area and sites to see for any day trips. It was special because the owners son had a firework show to celebrate the long weekend. Overall, we loved our stay and we will be going back.”

“We stayed here for three nights along with two more families that are our close friends. So far one of the best cottage experiences we’ve had! The property is huge and has two units- a big cottage and a cozy log house. The place is equipped with canoes, kayaks and other water activities. We did bonfire in the evening by the calm lake and the place is equipped with logs, chairs, barbecue. I enjoyed the hammock and deck the most! Highly recommended!”
