“I spent five amazing weeks of work-trade at Coyote Tales during summer of 2022, and it was a very special time. Abby offered accommodations inside the house, but I wanted the privacy of a tent, so she provided me with a large new tent and a luxury mattress. The days were scorching hot, and we worked hard. During the first week, we picked up 400 bails of hay, and organized them into the old barn. Abby had rescued two Belgian Clydesdale horses (which obviously says something about the kind of person she is), and she put such an amazing amount of her time and energy into ensuring the well-being/survival of these horses. She loved them dearly. I loved the cool spring-fed pond, especially after a couple of hours of good work. There were frogs and mud, and one felt as though they had just crawled out of the primordial sludge to be reborn on this gorgeous land. There were fields, forests, hills, flowers, ghostpipe, double-rainbows, shooting stars, bonfires, evening saunas, beautiful people, and I sincerely appreciated being there. It was a very special time indeed - to bond with Abby (and her friends) and the other members of our summer family. We took turns preparing meals, and I will always cherish those evenings when we gathered around the dining table. During my visit, Abby also ran a buckskin tanning workshop, which was one of the most surreal weekends of my life. I look forward to returning to Coyote Tales, to have Cruiser (the dog) lick my face, or my special friend Akasha (the cat) sit on my chest and dig those claws into me. I can definitely recommend Coyote Tales, with its radiant energy, as a special place to retreat and reconnect with oneself and the land.”

“Great small provincial park. We were on site 27 which was right on the water and across from the comfort station...one of the cleanest washrooms I've ever seen at a park. Lovely lake, clear water, good size sites and average privacy between sites, very peaceful camping trip.”

“This place is like an oasis in the wild Highlands. It's nice to have a clean, modern public washroom facility available for those traversing the Northern trek. While you rest, there's a library to visit as well. Greatly appreciated!”

“Amazing place. It starts off quiet. The water is still. As you go along the trail the water keeps flowing so smoothly until you reach the falls. The falls are beautiful! The most from the water hits your face ever so slightly and the sunlight just makes everything shine! I recommend these falls to anyone passing by. It’s worth it”

“Great place to kick back and relax. Small parking lot. Short walk through the bush to the river. Shallow water and smooth rocky bottom that is very easy to walk in. You could walk a long way in the water. Take a lawn chair and some drinks and sit in the river with your feet in the water.”

“What a great experience. The outdoor banya was beautiful, invigorating, and expertly crafted. The environment was welcoming, private, serene, and giving. The barrel of cold water went perfectly with the wood fired sauna, with as much hot tea as needed. Great experience, and I would highly recommend!”

“Mount Pelion provides great views overlooking Trenton. If you want to visit, be prepared for a climb: getting from the parking lot to the top is about 80 steps. Another 20 or so will get you to the top of the metallic structure that gives you a view out over all the trees. When I visited, you could see aircraft from CFB Trenton flying around doing exercises.”

“INCREDIBLY HELPFUL STAFF!!! We stopped into the Trent Port Marina on the weekend on the maiden voyage on our jet skis and the staff, namely Emma, were very helpful, kind and patient. We had a quick lunch at the canteen and then were off again. It was a great experience and we will be back for stops in the future for sure!”

“Excellent place to visit for all ages, small or large groups even with covid the buildings are very open concept and spacious to allow distancing between other customers, sanitizer in each building and one way your so no doubling back and having to cross paths of others. The setups is excellent with our current pandemic restrictions. The displays are also very well maintained and again.. big!! My personal favourite is the tractor building and the village :) My son thoroughly enjoyed it for his first museum visit. Also a non profit organization and maintained mostly by donations and volunteers. So I have no issue paying the very reasonable entry fee (under $10) We will be back!!”

“The oldest rock in Canada with 2.3 billion years old. Massive and impressive. And one of the largest boulder in North America. 6.5 m high, 13 m long. Moved 45 km by the glacier forces. Off the beaten path close to 401 and 5 min shaded easy hike from the parking. Good resting stop. Infested with gypsy moths, but well worth visit.”

“Excellent place to see a beautiful view. The forest is my favorite kind - soft pine needles with few bugs. The only downside was the portable washroom was locked. Make sure to not miss out on the lookout tower. Take the right path to go up hill and the stairs downhill for a more relaxed walk.”

“I arrived at this casino at 9:30 for my 10 AM session. When I arrived there was already a lot of people in line. Though we were outside people were still coughing and blowing their nose and what not. If you’re sick don’t go out. The variety of slot machines is very limited. I did enjoy the ones that they did have available. As far as cleanliness goes I definitely don’t feel safe here. There was people pulling their masks down coughing blowing their nose and then putting snot on a slot machine. Not once did I see anybody come around and clean them. I was there for a total of two sessions which equals four hours. I did win which is a positive. However in order to win you need to play max credits. There’s people in there playing minimum credits and then getting angry when they’re not winning anything. I gave this casino only three stars because of the variety of slots and the cleanliness”
