“Stayed at the Rock Garden Terrace again this year. Have been there multiple times over the years and it is always good. The resort is now in the second generation and they know their stuff! Nice well kept venue, helpful and friendly staff/owners and fabulous food. The facility is in the middle of the Island so makes it especially nice for day trips to explore the rest of Manitoulin. Two thumbs up, I fully recommend them.”

“Cute little restaurant about 5-10 mins from the beach. I was on a veggie diet when we visited them. The only option on the menu for us was a veggie burger. Fingers crossed, we ordered it and it turned out to be delicious. The side dishes- Onion rings(very crispy) and mushroom caps(which we had for the first time) were awesome! Definitely coming back and trying the meat options.”

“Absolutely fabulous place. Perfect for 2 people. Very large comfortable bed, kitchen, bathroom, living room with dining table and a laundry room. Within minutes from the beach. Couldn’t have asked for more and the fact that we managed to book it shortly before the long weekend, it was pure luck. I should have taken some pictures but that wasn’t my priority. We always had a good experience staying on Manitoulin Island in the past and for sure, in the future when we decide to return, this place is gonna be on our list to book it. I highly recommend this place. It clean, it’s quiet and you will be met by a very friendly gentleman!!! Thank you for letting us stay.”

“We just returned from our trip to Manitoulin, Providence Bay. Our stay at “On the Bay” was very good. Ingrid and Trevor were amazing hosts and ensured our stay was not only comfortable but enjoyable. Right from Day 1 they ensured we were comfortable and catered to all our needs. They followed all protocols and regulations required during COVID. Very clean and beautiful rooms with all amenities. Really enjoyed their breakfast. Especially their homemade bread. I would love to have the recipe 😊. Looking forward to visiting them again.”

“A nice long stretch of sandy beach. Totally deserted in the winter time, but well populated during the summer. A very nice board walk helps to spread out visitors and invites for strolls along the beach, while protecting dunes. Awesome for the whole family and people who enjoy watching other families with all the dynamics children bring to the scene.”

“Loved this find! We were getting desparate for dinners (most places closed at 5 pm or were reservations only, so few places on the island). Happened upon this cafe at the beach in providence bay, and picked up the most amazing curry! Staff are friendly and professional - highly recommend it!”
