“I feel this location is caught in a weird position that ultimately makes for a less than ideal experience the last few times I have gone. They are not busy enough to have additional staff on during peak periods, but the single person there (working incredibly hard mind you) has to split their time between doing in person orders and delivery service orders. Each time I had to wait while multiple Uber/Skip the Dishes orders were made, a person in the store would order, more pick up orders were made, then to the next person. One time I just went and sat outside for 20 minutes until they were ready to take my order. Again, it's not entirely their fault and the food is fairly good and the staff is always pleasant and apologetic, but does take away from the experience. Oh, and I do miss the signature burritos and bowls.”

“What a nice place to go for drinks and nosh! The patio is beautiful you will feel like you're on a mini vacation with the wonderfully colorful and happy ambiance. The waitresses are so attentive and we were offered some free beer samples. The beer selection is great and these are handcrafted on location. There are even some honey beers with local honey as the (owner?) Is apparently also a beekeeper. The charcuterie board is delightful and always a bit different. The black pepper and whiskey sausages are also delicious and are made on site. For having such a small kitchen we were pretty impressed with the varied menu options. 😋 We will definitely be back when we need to de-stress!”

“The food scene in Stittsville has been slowly, but surely growing. I was excited to hear that we were getting our first Indian restaurant. Masakali Indian Cuisine has a large menu filled with something for everyone. We decided to try out the Chicken Labadar, Lamb Rogan Gosh and the Hariyali Chicken Tikka (each dish was on average $20 per dish which seems slightly high to me compared to other places in the Ottawa area). We were told all meat sold is halal as of Jan 2022. We also ordered 4 Lacha parata's and 2 garlic naans on the side. We ordered over the phone and were told it would be ready in 45 minutes, upon arriving at the restaurant to pickup the order, it turns out our order was somehow missed, they quickly prepared our order while he waited. The lacha parata's were somewhat burnt. However, the curry dishes were all very flavourful and delicious. The chicken and lamb were both very tender, the gravy sauces in each dish had their own unique flavours. The lamb was a little more oily than I would have liked, but that is generally how Indian takeout is. My favourite was the Hariyali Chicken Tikka. The portions seemed small, however it was more than enough for 4 adults, plus 2 toddlers. I am sure our experience with the missed order and overdone parata is not the norm, so I encourage you all to try them out and support local!”
