“I purchased a used dresser and new mattress from Fil and I am very happy with my purchases. His prices are similar to what you'd pay at places like Ikea, but better quality and no hassle of having to put it together. Fil delivered my furniture at a reasonable price, and he was able to accommodate the delivery time according to my schedule. His store is quite small so not a large selection, but I definitely recommend checking it out!”

“We contacted Capital Appliance to service our stove. We had used them before and were pleased with the service. The technician, who was extremely professional and polite, came and assessed the issue and advised that we needed a new bake element. He tested the electronics to ensure that nothing was damaged when the element fried. He advised if he had to return to replace it that there would be a repair charge on top of the cost of the part. The part is easy to replace so I elected to buy it and change it myself. I paid the technician the service call fee. I then bought the part which is a final sale part and installed it. Unfortunately the control panel in the stove had actually been fried by the shorted element so the new element did not work. The cost to replace the control panel was over $500 on top of the cost of the element and it was not worth repairing. I called Capital Appliance to advise of what happened and explained that the technicians assurance to me that the problem was only the element now meant that I had spent money on a part I could not return. They said they would consider the issue, speak to the manager and get back to me. The representatives I spoke with were always polite and patient. I did have to call a couple of times to followup (granted it was over the holidays) but ultimately once they reviewed the issue they conceded some responsibility. They agreed to refund the service call fee. I received a refund cheque in the mail within a reasonable period of time. While I am still out the cost of the element (which was slightly more than the service fee), I felt that this was very reasonable given that I did choose to do the repair myself. Despite the unsuccessful repair I believe that Capital Appliance was very good overall in how they dealt with this situation. I would use them again and would recommend them.”
