Chinook Hot Tubs & Saunas

It was a disappointing experience. I had intended on going to this store because they carry the SunriseSpas, a canadian hot tub.

I called and inquired about a hot tub. It was nearing the end of the day and we couldn't make the 50 min drive in time. The sales guy said not to worry, it wouldn't be sold by the next day when we went in to see it. I offered to make a deposit to reserve the hot tub, just in case. Again, he confirmed "it won't be sold by then." so I trusted the sales person.

The following day, my partner and I left work for an early lunch to drive the 50 min to the store, get there and be told the hot tub I had wanted to place a deposit against 17 hours before, was sold - 10 minutes before we got there! They tries to sell me the other floor model but I had researched that product already and knew it didn't fair well in Canadian winters.

It's not a huge deal. At least we didn't waste any money there and only our very limited time. I'm sure the owners and staff are nice people but I was very disappointed in the sales service. It was a long distance to travel to be told I was 10 minutes late. I will not be bothered to go there again.

They still get a 3 stars because they answered the email and phone calls in a reasonable amount of time (less than 24 hours), they had an acceptable selection of hot tub chemicals and a few saunas on display and the salesperson seemed to have some knowledge on hot tubs I would expect in a specialty store.

The building in which they are located does look very "sketchy" but there was parking. The store didn’t have an automated accessible door but it did have a flat entrance and plenty of street parking on the day we went.

Excellent service!

Robert repaired our hot tub last year, did a great job (especially after we had bad experiences with Sunshine and another company. Refurbished one of our motors to save us some money. Just recently this motor wasn't starting but when I contacted Robert he was able to trouble shoot with me over the phone, and it turned out to only be a fuse, which I was able to replace. I am sure other companies would have just arranged a service call and this fuse would have cost almost $100. Thanks again Robert

Friendly and extremely helpful. The wife of the owner didn't just answer my questions she offered to explain everything to me (a new spa owner not even their brand) on how to balance water chemistry and maintain my spa. Almost every other place I visited I felt like I was bothering them with my questions. My levels are now perfect! Thank you. You are now my go to place for water testing and buying chemicals.

Excellent service. Great product. Knowledgable. Honest. Fair. Save time and go straight there. We were at 3 different hot tub stores before we went to this one. We had a good impression very quickly, and they have been great at every step of the way.

I wish all businesses were like this.
