“Spent 2 nights here and I must say, although 2020 has the potential of being the worst year ever, the 2 nights spent here changed the way I looked at my summer. Great kind staff who are available for any of your needs, reasonable prices, and a whole world to turn into a playground (not literally). Overall, a great place to have a getaway with friends or family alike.”

Mark S. Burnham Provincial Park

Address: 846 Hwy 7, Douro, ON K0L 1S0, Canada

Park

“Its a small park with a small trail (1.5km), and you never get away from the sound of traffic, but its perfect for little (or old) legs to get out to explore a more natural environment. The one hill on the trail is not too steep. The interpretive signs are helpful and clever, although I don't know how the one at the top could know that the sun would be behind us as we read it. Spooky.”

Harold Town Conservation Area

Address: 2611 Old Norwood Rd, Peterborough, ON K9H 7M9, Canada

Park

“A naturalists heaven, the grounds have a wide variety of paths to explore on bike or on foot. Each with their own quirky name, distance and level of difficulty, this area will have you coming back to explore over and over again. The routes are worth checking out through each season and are fairly well marked. Just be cautious in the spring after the thaw as some passages can become flooded or difficult to pass through.”
