“Loved the time spent here. The rooms are exceptionally well maintained and seem new. They have pretty much all the kitchen accessories, A/C, grill for each cottage. Of the 6 cottages, all are spacious and varied between 2-4 rooms. They have one fishing boat, kayaks, and canoes. Josh, Nina and Brian are very apt in responding and readily available if needed. Overall, I would definitely recommend it..”

“Absolutely breathtaking! My family recently spent a week at Bellmere Winds and it was really great. We, for the first time, rented a cottage in Phase 2. We missed the chance in renting near the lake, but Phase 2 (which is higher on the hill) did not disappoint. My kids had a pool which was just right for them (not much of a deep end) so we could sit and watch from our beach chairs. And it wasn't crowded which was great. The view of Rice Lake was absolutely gorgeous! And we had access to Phase 1 so we could move freely back and forth. I took time to go kayaking and had a wonderful time on the lake. It was so peaceful. We also took in some fireworks which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. My little girl is already asking to come back next year, and I am happy to oblige. Our cottage was really clean and we had no issues with the unit. The next plan would be to have a golf weekend with the boys. We truly had a wonderful time, the prices were affordable, and I believe any family going would have a great time too. See you next year Bellmere.”

All the staff were extremely professional and helpful. There were lots of activities to do during our stay after the wedding and the cottages were absolutely beautiful, clean and well maintained. Food was fantastic and the view from the dinning room was picturesque. I would recommend Elmhirst to anyone looking to plan an event or a getaway.”

“The owners are really great people. Absolutely beautiful lake. They gave us a spot to check out where there was a bit of a sand beach. There ended up being an amazing party there with tonnes of boats and it was a great suggestion. Cabins are way bigger then I guess with really effective air conditioning. I'd highly recommend!”

“Our only issue was the door knob. She opened it for us, but when we got up in the morning it was still very difficult to get the knob to work again even to go out. Should change to lever handles possibly. We were away all day and someone was parked in our spot, had to park at far end, in the morning found the culprit had moved to another spot. Decent room, nice owners.”

“Very nice room, extremely clean, big spacious, incredible air conditioning that was so quite I couldn't hear it. Nice fridge and microwave. Room smelled nice. Staff were very nice and friendly. Felt very welcome and safe. Security cameras everywhere made me feel safe. Anytime I had an problem or question it was always easy to find/phone someone for help. Everyone was friendly. Booked 2 weeks for business on a days notice and was there the next day. Brought my cat and that wasn't an issue and he enjoyed the room. Great bed and pillows and sheets. Brand new smart TV fresh out of the box when I arrived. Highly recommend and look forward to staying again in future! Thanks guys it was a pleasure.”

“Where to begin....my family had a great vacation at Wildwood Cottage Resorts. The location was peaceful and beautiful! We stayed in Cabin 1 which is practically brand new with a huge wrap around deck which our 4 month old puppy enjoyed very much. It has 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Its the cleanest cabin which was nice as I suffer from allergies and I didn't have one reaction while staying there. The kitchen is equipped with everything you needed and the furniture was very clean and comfy! The resort had several activities free to use (paddel boards, kayak, trampoline on land and in water etc..) Fishing of the dock was great, so if you don't want to go out on a boat the fishes practically are waiting for you! If you want to watch a movie, the cabin has a pretty decent size flat screen and at the store there's a bunch of DVD's to borrow. The owners Jamie and Rebecca are the nicest and most accommodating people. Jamie is constantly running around making sure everything is cleaned and ready to go. They treat their guests like family and that hospitality is rare to come by. Thank you so much Jamie and Rebeeca we had a great vacation at your resort and will definteky be back for sure. “We stayed for a week in August 2020 in a 3 bedroom cottage (cottage 5) at the resort. Only one cottage in the resort is actually lakefront, and that is the lakefront 4 bedroom cottage. All the other cottages are across the street from the lake, and you have to walk through the firepit area of the lakefront cottage to access the resort docks, which can be a little awkward. Each cottage has a nice sized deck for outdoor dining and bbq. Our cottage was clean and the 2 sofas in the cottage were covered with clean sheets. Pillows are provided in the bedrooms. The satellite TV worked intermittently and Wi-Fi was inconsistent (it seemed to depend on where you were at the resort). But we were there to enjoy the lake and surrounding area, so that didn't bother us much. We were thankful for the air conditioning and floor fans for a few of the really hot days; it wasn't cool enough inside even with all the windows open. The cottage resort is pretty basic with wi-fi, a small children's playground, the docks and boat rental being its only amenities, however the price and location are good. The only reason we wouldn't stay here again is because most of the cottages are not actually waterfront and the one that is waterfront would have lots of people traipsing through. Go visit Doo Doo's Bakery for her amazing butter tarts and the Kawartha's Dairy ice cream served there!”

“The cottages were clean. They are old but relatively well maintained. The cottages are summer only dwelings. Good window mount A/C. The 3 bedroom cottages had 1/2 inch thick walls between the rooms. Kitchen fully accessorized. Meets bare necessities. Outdoor pool was great for the kids. Outdoor fire pit great. View of lake is amazing provided you don't have another cottage in front of you. Amazing fishing too.”

“My father and I recently stayed for a night at Golden Pathways. I was looking for a peaceful location with easy access to Peterborough, and this b&b perfectly fit the bill. Understandably, due to the current circumstances around the world, I think everyone was hesitant due to health and safety reasons, but I can say as much that right from arrival we were put at peace. Everything was tidy and hand sanitizer was also provided. Cora was gracious and friendly, and we enjoyed our breakfast on the upstairs balcony. The separate entrances for each room with a lovely shared patio with a little water fountain was very relaxing. This b&b was exactly what we needed to make our last minute trip to Peterborough a calm event.”
