“Just had the most relaxing 3 days at this resort. The check-in was easy, and the lady at the front desk explained everything to us. Our cottage was clean and had everything we needed. All we did was bring our food for meals. Love that it is pet friendly, and we could bring our 9 year old Bernese Mountain Dog. The pools and property are very well maintained and clean. We enjoyed walks from our cottage to the lake, which took about 10 minutes. At one meal, our propane tank needed replacing and a staff member was by in 5 minutes to change it out. The resort is also within driving distance to many wineries and shopping. We will definitely be back. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your resort and PEC.”

“This place was absolutely beautiful the location and the amount of tents were enough so that we weren’t in each others spaces. The "wallflower" tent was facing the grassland which was a breath taking view. The amenities inside the tent has everything we needed. It included a cute fridge, a coffee maker, storage, and cute lights. We enjoyed the view on the lake, we had our morning coffee there and also used their paddle boards. Overall, the atmosphere and vibe was so peaceful and a great little vacation. I definitely will recommend to friends and family!”

“Just spent an amazing 3 days there. This was our very first camp out ever and we were so glad to choose this campground. The staff was super helpful and super nice. Very quite at night which is perfect considering we went with a 3 year old and a 9 yr old. Playgrounds were beautiful and close by and the beach was breathtaking with lots of shallow walkout again perfect for small kids!! All the other campers were super friendly too. The washrooms and showers were surprisingly clean (I honestly wasn't expecting them to look so nice) and close by too. I am definitely recommending this campground to everyone with kids. We are definitely going back. My only complaint is that we didn't book long enough!! Lol”

“Great place for family camping. Clean park in a great area. Very short drive to Sandbanks Provincial Park. Lots to do. Update: camped here recently. Still a great place. Check in was excellent. Beach area is good. Pool is fun. Only complaint would be the speed people drive in the park.”

“My family and I we visit this retreat twice a year. Wonderful air, phenomenal energy! When we return from the cottage my husband - who is a cancer survivor - forgets about his headaches for 5-6 months. I first noticed that this place is special when my dog got sick. That year I had to take it to several vets but no one could properly diagnose it. We were on the way to the Blue Jay cottage and I had to stop the car 16 times. That’s how sick it was. 3 days later on our way home the dog slept in the car all the time. Believe me or not but after this one visit to the cottage I never brought it to the vet. I like this place very much as it is silent and quiet, gives you best fishing and ravishing sunsets. The owner takes a good care or the place. All visitors respect each other privacy. In the evening they stay around their cottages and enjoy the sunset.”

“This is our first visit to this campsite and we stayed there for two nights. It is not a resort and it does not have a swimming pool. The water supplied outside of the office is not for drinking and we brought our own drinking water. However, it had what we needed. The washroom/shower are about 200m away from our tent site. And there is room for laundry and washing dishes. The Sandbanks beach is close by and we enjoyed boating on the East lake. I also saw many people are having fun fishing there. The camp is full of happy people and the owner visited us at least four times during our stay asking if we need any help. It is a warm, happy land surrounded by beautiful lake and forest. It is crowded and even a bit noisy. But it is moderate (not fancy) place where it is sweet like home. I will definitely go back again and will recommend to my friends.”

“The Dairy Barn is a great place for a family get together. It offers affordable accommodation. You can rent the Hayloft - 3 bedrooms and 3 baths or the Milking Parlor - 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. There is also a Bachelor/Bachelorette unit. The Dairy Barn is a hop, skip and jump away from Lake Ontario. There is a private path that takes you right to Sandbanks Provincial Park. As an added bonus they provided a Park pass.”

“Our second stay and it was equally as enjoyable as the first. It was fall and the leaves were starting to change colour, beautiful area at this time of year. The grounds are extremely well kept and the site we stayed in was easily accessed and level. Services were conveniently located in our site, the only issue was with very low water pressure a couple times during our six day stay. Lake Avenue, while located at the south end of the county, is still convenient for accessing the rest of the area. You'll find nothing is really far away. We brought our kayaks as the resort has an excellent beach and boat docks on East Lake, but weather prevented getting them out. Our bikes got well used on the Millennium Trail, a definite must do while staying in the area. Plenty of wine tours to take in as well as craft breweries. The owners of Lake Avenue are welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. Thier resort is a combination of full-time sites with a number of transient sites. The permanent units are clean and well cared for. I would imagine the place is gets fully booked in the summer months, but we have been lucky enough to find spots on our spring and fall stays. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return here again.”

“This was a really nice family resort. They have a playground, a private beach, some boats you can check out. The place itself is made out of many cottages of a similar style and it's quite large. A great place for the fall and I imagine it gets pretty busy during the summers. You can but firewood from the office, and service is really nice.”

“Less than a 10 min drive from Sandbanks is this quaint village of 3 season cottages adjacent to East Lake. Cottages are privately owned but managed like a Condominium including rental services if you decide to rent your cottage. The layouts makes use of available space to a maximum with cathedral ceilings and many windows making it bright, airy, and homey. Amenities include basketball and tennis courts. A couple of pools, an activity centre, and kayaks and canoes by the dock, all included in the rental. Some cottages also allow dogs which makes it convenient for fur babies to stay with the fam. The village has a laid back beachy feel to it with winding walking paths and communal fire pits. Cottages are close together but not obtrusive and the village remains quiet even though it was full when we stayed. Really enjoyed our stay here and who knows, we might be owners here soon enough too.”

“We had a great experience at Cherry Lane! The cottage was amazing, clean and very comfortable. We rented Cottage 1, which had a view of the water. It was truly amazing! It's close to wineries, sandbanks beach and cute shops! We cannot wait to book again for next summer! Highly recommend!”
