“Amazing work has been done here over the past few years, 100% by volunteers who are passionate in saving local railroading history. The station has been saved from demolition, moved, a new foundation poured, the inside restored, a new platform built, tracks laid and the station features many interesting railroad artifacts. Keep in mind that this IS a work in progress, so every time you visit, the place just gets better and better. If you'd like to see it improve faster - consider becoming a volunteer (they can use people with all kinds of skills!) or a donor! Kudos to those who do their best to save history and open such museums to the public for all to enjoy!”

“Went in on the week of the open house. The open house included a short informative show about 3 animals, chinchilla, snake, turtles. The staff was very patient, kind, and funny! Once it was done we got taken to the back room for some science fun where we made "snow" again, very informative, and kind. The kids really loved it! My only concern is they inform you to wash our hands after handling the animals. But they wisk you off into the back room so quickly to do the science portion right after the show then your touching the take home experiment and i mean they were really getting into the snow bits squishing it between fingers because she told them to. Then its packaged up for you to take home, THEN they send you to wash your hands. If I'm not correct shouldn't they be washing after the show? All and all its a good way to spend 45minutes.”

“I have lived in Oakville for over 10 years and honestly I did not know that this place even existed! Although Oakville is small, it is jam packed with interesting history! Did you know that Oakville was a route for freed slaves to come in through the Underground Railroad? The main family exhibit was wonderful and the tour guide was great, but when we reached the Underground Railroad Exhibit I felt that the tour guide was being a insensitive.”
