“This was one of the places we would always stop at when my family and I would travel to the Niagara Region for our summer vacation when I was a kid. Stopped in to reconnect with my youth as well as with the memory of my dad (he used to work as a fireman on 4-8-4s out of Hornpayne back in the day). It was a bit of an emotional visit. Sadly to to preservation work being done/needed you can't enter the locomotive cab or the caboose at this time.”

“Very nice park for young and old alike. Playground for the kids, walking paths, benches and a pond are all well maintained and clean. There is a fenced play area for dogs within the park too. Bring your own bags and water for your dog. The Kinsmen Pool is on park property as well.”

“Love going here. Loved walking, or riding bikes through the forest seeing the old foundations of the park structures. A beautiful boardwalk along the beach shore. Hate to see it being destroyed by yet another housing development.”

“It was a quiet little campground some years back, now it's pretty busy, GREAT for kids and the family dog. Unfortunately there is almost no trees left, most of them are dead, new ones are planted but shade is pretty hard to come by. Personally I liked it when it was nice and quiet.. not so much anymore????”
