“Beautiful park right in heart of Niagara on the lake. Perfect for relaxing or exercising playing a sporting activity. Lots of children playing in the playground, perfect for families. Lots of room for a picnic with the family. I love walking through the park and down the main strip ,such a gorgeous neighborhood and the water is just walking distance down the road. Lots of history here to discover if you are a history buff. Everything is very clean and well maintained.”

St Davids Lions Park

Address: 1462 York Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, Canada

Park

“Very nice little play area to bring your little ones. The play area has monkey bars, slides, climber, and a hanging line. My kids love to play here while I can sit on the nearby bench to watch them. There's a tennis court and a swimming pool. I am not sure how to book that court but I have enjoyed viewing people play tennis. More recently a track has been built to the Cannery Drive which helps some people access this park on foot.”

Cannery Park

Address: 45 Cannery Dr, St. Davids, ON L0S 1J1, Canada

“A nice little park to bring your kids. The play area has swings, slides, and a climber. Parents can sit on the nearby benches and watch their kids play. The park has no trail but it is surrounded by a sidewalk that gives you opportunity to walk a few steps. It is not maintained in winters, so be cautious when using in colder months.”

McFarland Park Picnic Pavilion

Address: 15927 Niagara Pkwy, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L2E 6T2, Canada

Park

“A beautiful place. There is a free parking lot but I think the main parking lot is paid. Small park but in the farms and quite besides the cars passing by. There is a washroom. The only downside is you can't see Niagara River from here as the park is very high and many trees on the edge that block the scene. It would be extraordinary if the river was not blocked. However, there is a very long stairs that will take you to the edge of the river.”

Paradise Grove Park

Address: Unnamed Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0, Canada

Park

“This is a good place for a walk and very beautiful with many large oak trees of various types. The paths connect over to Butler's Barracks. You can also walk over to a very large grassy area called "The Commons" that has historical significance as a military training ground/encampment. The only problem is that the local residents think that the whole area is an off-leash dog park, so you may be harassed by dogs if you go for a walk here.”

Queenston Heights Park

Park

“No matter what time of day you visit, there will be some beautiful views. This is an awesome park to visit for a quick walk, for a family get together or to play with your dog (my lab puppy highly approves as well!). It can be pretty busy in the summer, but it is a historical site and there are quite a few amenities as well. Be careful if you're there around dusk, there's lots of wildlife in the area and you may cross paths with a skunk or other animals. After all, it is their home.”

“A good view of Niagara on Lake . If it is not foggy you can see Toronto downtown with CN tower. There is always a gentle breeze which keeps your mind every from all the disturbance And enjoy the beauty of nature. There is a walkway where you can walk along the shore of river. The best route is you should follow the Niagara Falls parkway route from the falls view point. The nature is so beautiful and you can have small pit stops in between to enjoy the nature. Cycling will be best to the trail.”

Virgil Splashpad

Address: Virgil, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1T0, Canada

Park

“While it is a fairly new facility and it is clean, there is no real shade. The playground equipment leaves much to desire. It is in an open field with zero shade and navy blue slides that face the sun all day making it very hot for children to slide down in the summer. It also tends to get quite crowded and often there are children who are unsupervised running amok. My 2 year old (at the time) was bowled over by a 10 year old and to top off the day, children left unsupervised were spitting on slides while children tried to use them.”
