Very friendly staff, food was fast, fresh + nice and hot. Everything was great and cooked fresh!!
I went here on Wednesday November 23rd around 5:45-6pm to pick up dinner. There was one young woman working behind the counter all by herself, and at least one other employee in the kitchen. It was quite busy, there must have been at least 6 other people waiting for their orders when I walked in.
I work as management in a food & beverage/customer service place in a similar capacity and completely understand being in that same position; busy, stressed, overwhelmed, over-worked, under-staffed, multiple sick calls, and a lobby full of customers waiting for stuff. I could tell she was stressed and felt bad, but despite this she maintained a very friendly, pleasant attitude with every customer, apologised for the wait and made sure every customer was taken care of.
An elderly couple were very unpleasant, entitled, and rude, blaming her for the wait and telling her how terrible her service was. It was disgraceful honestly, you could plainly see she was doing everything she could and her service was impeccable!
What happened to thanking the people who worked through covid to get you your fast food, or your coffee? Eating out is a privilege, not a right, and we should be treating the people making our food better than that.
To that couple; You should be ashamed of your behaviour that night, the way you treated that young woman was unacceptable.
To that young woman working; You should be very proud of yourself for getting through that night. You had amazing customer service, you handled that very well, and I would hire you in heartbeat just for that if I could. ♡
Been here about 4 or 5 times now. First few times I wasn't treated very kindly by who I assume was the owner(or at least GM), and observed him treating his employee the same. He did mention what a crazy day it was so that probably explains why my next few experiences were better. The food has been what we come to expect from Popeye's. Far superior to the other big fried chicken chain. This location is new, with large dining area that they keep clean.
New location in fonthill. Food is good, restaurant is clean. Typically what you would expect.
