The facility is well thought of, rooms separated to keep the ages apart, but structured so that the teachers are able to help each other out. “Our family has had the pleasure of being part of Leslie Street Daycare for the past 6 years, sending 3 of our children to this centre. Tammy and her staff are amazing and so professional. They have always created such a caring and nurturing environment for the children to learn and flourish. This is especially true during the pandemic. Tammy and staff have gone above and beyond, implementing procedures that have kept the children safe. We fully trusted sending our 3rd child to the centre this past year. The centre is always clean and well organized. The children are provided with healthy meals by a wonderful in house cook. The best part are the updates we receive through the school app. We love seeing the photos and videos of our child throughout the day. Tammy (the owner) does an amazing job of keeping parents updated and informed. She is wonderful and always available to answer our questions. We would wholeheartedly recommend the Leslie Street Daycare to anyone and will be sending our 4th child there.”

“Eva and team take great care of our children for music instruction and after-school. They are kind, caring and professional when teaching music and musical theatre. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure the children receive the best care in their lessons. My children have taken - at various times - piano, flute, clarinet, ukulele, recorder and they practise at home and in the car without prompting, showing that they look upon music as fun - a wonderful testament to the teaching team. “Idon't know why I waited to write this review for so long, but after reflecting on the 2019-2020 school year I felt that that I could give what I believe is an accurate reflection of the short term and long term successes of my children's experience at LMMH. We enrolled our children mid school year (Jan 2019) after quite a bit of discussion between my husband and myself and an open house visit. After reviewing curriculum and Montessori ideas with the owner and teachers and originally planning to enroll only my daughter (grade 4), we also enrolled my son (grade 7). Our goals were for them to not only improve their academics but also to experience student expectations and responsibilities from a different view point. So we dug deep into our wallets and calender's and came up with a strategy to make this experience possible. After 6 months we made the difficult decision to return to the public school system. This decision was based on a variety of reasons, financial, distance of commute(we don't live anywhere close to Newmarket), job change and missing friends. It was however, not based on their experience at the school. They made new friends, improved their focus and improved their academics, just as we had hoped. But, what we also have come to notice is that their self expectations, academic performance, self responsibility at end of the 2019-2020 public school year was also exceptionally better. They were much better students, were recognized for their maturity and kindness, and continued to excel at their academics. So, although we would have liked for them to continue, our short time at LMMH was so worth the time, money and effort! Thank you to all the staff.”
