Petawawa Terrace Provincial Park

2023, Trail is in great shape. Lots of room on the trails. It is a nature path so there will be roots, stumps and trees. Lots of side trails and off shoots for the explorers. Undergrowth is minimal in most places so you can go through the trees if you wish. Trails are well marked as well. Main loop can be busy at the usual times. Parking lot at trail head as well.

I go to these trails almost every day and can easily recommend this place for a peaceful walk with your dog(s) and/or children, for a walk alone or just to think and get some nature time! They have a wonderful, clean atmosphere and there are not a lot of bugs either. Enjoy your time here 😊

It was a gorgeous day and a hot one. This cause most of the ice and snow to melt. Luckily, we were prepared with waterproof boots and shoes. It was a really nice shaded walk with a really nice view of the river. People here have been mostly respectful but a few have left their doggie bags or simply have not picked up after their dogs. Otherwise, the park is really nice. There is a playground right by it which makes it even more family friendly. Note that parking is limited.

Absolutely loved my hike here! It was beautiful I can't wait to come back!

This is a super fun trail! We love that there is your typical loop, however, if you are feeling a little adventurous you can trail off through the center and zigzag through different paths to create your own trail. You will even come across a little hidden fairy land and some other small fun features like a ladder and forts. Totally worth venturing off the path less traveled!
