“A few years ago, this may have been the best place to get local produce. Today, I have found prices have increased significantly, to the point it’s often times cheaper to buy at grocery stores- and it’s become extremely busy! One of the advantages of shopping at a local market like this, is its supposed to be slightly more affordable and much better quality. However, nothing seems to keep for longer than a few days, and to my point above, prices have increased. I frequent southern Ontario and buy local produce there to bring home now. Their selection might. It be as plentiful, but the quality and price is better. If you’re one of the many affluent Barrie residents, then this place goes right in hand with your farm to table delivery service. But that’s not the majority of the population. Maybe that’s who you’re targeting? Oh well, I’ll be continuing to look for new farmers markets and produce stands.”
